When I got there the first day it took me 15 minutes before someone showed up to receive my payment. He had no record of my booking and he obviously has different prices for different guests, because he could not give me the price before he saw the booking. As I am from Norway it was a little more expensive...

Located in the heart of Rome. A lot of places to go around the hostel. Good design. Terrace is real and good place to hang out. Hostel is good if you're travelling in company 4+ people. Dont expect hotel service inside.

Booked this hostel because it was the only cheap and central option we had. The bad reviews had me expecting the worst, but it was not that bad after all. Neighbourhood is not that sketchy. The only staff person we have met (Kalifa) was really fun all the time and it seemed like he was the one to do everything,...

Hotel is cheap and with good location. But don't go outside after sunset - the area is horribly terrifying. But during the day it's ok. It's close to bus/train/metro station, walking distance to city center and there's a food market next to it. But it was really smelly in the hotel, wifi works only in the reception.

Cheap and located close to train station. Walkable to most attractions. You get what you pay for. Stayed in a private two bed with shared bathroom. Not bad. Booked before reading TA reviews and got a little scared. After the sketchy check in process (cash only, no true reception, "random" guy taking our information off our phone reservation.), things were...

Terrible! Everything was terrible. The staff are rude and useless. Told them the toilet was leaking so he put a towel down and left. The smell it made in the bathroom was awful. When booking it says wifi through out.. Lie. The wifi 'wasn't working' in the rooms as it was broken on the 2nd floor, yet if you stood...

Some suspicious methods used in check in and luggage storage and smell in the bathroom as well as having no front door key. But clean sheets, decent showers and almost competitive price, would have been a higher rating but no breakfast.

Sketchy neighborhood. Sketchy building. Bed broke as soon as I sat on it (180 pounds). Owners are friendly but that's not what you pay for. Did the 6 bed dorm. Beds aren't comfortable. Wifi is inconsistent as well. Didn't have enough keys to handout either. Loud street as well. You will hear people all night.

When we seek where to stay this was the only place with space available, we arrived at night and there are qie walk quite from Termini Station, the streets are dark and solitary, gave many laps before find the hotel because the label is very small. We were in a private room for 2, was well, clean and comfortable. The...

    Staying in Esquilino

    Neighbourhood Profile
    Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
