Have stayed here several times now because convenient for FAO. Always well treated by friendly staff. Rooms bigger than you'd think. Wifi good. Breakfast nice. Quiet area walking distance to Testaccio for dinner etc. Price not bad for area.

Booking made last minute but staff still gave us 100% good reception and service upon arrival. Rooms were well aired with a nice ambiance about the place. Hotel doesn't offer dinner but gave the best recommendations of hotels in the vicinity and within Rome. Friendly staff willing to help with everything. Great stay from start to finish and if I... We have just returned from Rome and stayed at the Vila San Pio. The hotel is in a very residential part of the City, close to the Colosseum. The hotel is 3 Villas combined, very Italian and picturesque. The rooms were clean and Roman with maid service the two days we were staying. We were also close to the train... More

This hotel was a nice little find and situated in a lovely quiet neighbourhood. From check-in until check-out the staff were friendly, helpful and always greeted you when passing. This made for a more personal experience. The rooms were small but comfortable and the area made for a good nights sleep. The rooms were clean and serviced daily. The room... More

Clean and comfortable. Crispy clean sheets. Good breakfast, scrambled eggs as well as the usual cold buffet. Made the mistake of ordering an Americano the first morning. Awful. Went for double espressos thereafter. Nice breakfast room, including a conservatory. Excellent wifi in the room. Nice garden. Downhill 10 minutes to CIrco Maximo metro in one direction and Testaccio district for... More

Stayed here for work in Rome. Very nice neighbourhood where you can take an evening walk with stunning views of the city. The hotel is nice but being a converted villa the rooms are all different and you will need some luck to get a good one. Only breakfast and snacks available but 10 minutes walk to many restaurants. Attentive... More

The three building property has attractive architecture and well-manicured grounds. The rooms are older, but possessing character, large enough and fully functional, including a spacious balcony. The neighborhood is quiet and within short walking distance to Circo Massimo, Foro Romano, Boca della Verita, and especially the Knights of Malta keyhole. We arrived mid-morning and the room was made available within... More

Staying in Aventine

Neighbourhood Profile
Contrary to the chaos of the city, the Aventine is Rome’s oasis. A neighbourhood made up of a patchwork of ancient churches, hidden gardens, private homes and embassies, peace and quiet is top priority and the vibe definitely friends and family. Take a walk around the Aventine and you’ll find a treasure hunt of surprises like the clever little keyhole at the Knights of Malta entrance (the only place you’ll find a line) along with Parco Savello (Giardino degli Aranci) next to the ancient Santa Sabina church. Keep your eyes on the 1960s architecture, several modern buildings are built atop Rome’s original 4th century BC wall.
