As other reviewers have said, if you go with an open mind, realizing that hotels in Italy will be older and smaller, you will have a good stay. Bathrooms are small, bed was comfy, breakfast was heavy on pastries. We appreciated the espresso and capuccinos!...More
Hotel Stella is comfortable and close to the majority of the attractions in Rome - or at least public transport if you would prefer. There's also a good supermarket nearby. Rooms are comfortable and quiet with good quality wifi. Breakfast was average, but that's okay,...More

Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up
basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

Hi, it's 20 minutes away by car or you can go to train station which is close by and catch train, or there is the hop on hop off bus which is a great way to get around the city, about a 10 min walk away from hotel Stella
