We had room number 4, which is a very small one. There was a weird smell in the room. We had no shampoo or shower gel. The location is great, near termini. The price is also ok. We did not receive any breakfast, which included a coffee and a croissant. He also never mentioned this when we arrived. Bring ear... More

Based from the reviews I read before booking this room for my first Euro trip, I was expecting this room to be average. The rooms (we had #3) are spacious and easy to keep clean. However, if you find that you need anything extra (towels, blankets, pillows) the supply is very limited. You must also pay 5 Euros for basic... More

Very clean, quite nice large room with bathroom. For a breakfast is only cup of coffee and only 1 croissant for each person. Bed is little bit bumpy. Schampoo is missing. Very good location, dont be scared from old school Rome design.

We had room number 3 and it was very big. When we entered it smelled really cleaned and we rest in a really nice bed. Everyday they clean the room, we didn't know it until we see it was cleaned. We left some stuff in bed, table and everything was correct when we came back B&B. Everyday at 9am they... More

The only good thing we had from this "hotel" was location. You have to pay an extra 5 euro per night for air conditioning that is in the room, the water from the shower goes very slow and it leaked out! The furniture is old, and breakfast is only coffee and croissant that owner brings to your room. I've been... More

What more do you need? We only came back up sleep and the lovely guy who runs it brings you coffee and a croissant in the morning. Was a bit daunting walking to find it as it is a bit of a horror movie setting the street it is on but if you can get past that it's somewhere to... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
