Really POOR No one to help with luggage. Friends of the receptionist were sitting on all of the outdoor chairs smoking where the only wi fi reception was possible, no one offered up a seat. When I messaged the hotel after I left to advise that in my hurry to leave, I had left my mobile phone charging equipment and...

We stayed at Silva for the beginning of our 5th wedding anniversary trip to Italy. My husband had never been abroad prior to this trip and I was severely disappointed that this was his first taste of European travel and accommodations. The room was sweltering when we arrived (it was hotter than the outside temp 85°) and the front desk...

Recently stayed 2 nights in Rome at this hotel. The experience was just ok. When we arrived after our over night flight we assumed we wouldn't be able to check in right away. The woman at the front desk told us that she did not have our room ready. We assumed because it was only 8am and check in was...

We booked this hotel last minute, was a very reasonable price. We didn't eat there but they did recommend a very good restaurant. It was approx. 10 min walk from local area with bars, shops and underground. We stayed a second night and they fitted us in at very short notice.

If you are visiting Rome for the first time, the location is not suitable in my opinion. Too far from the transit and you will need time to get acquainted with your surroundings. The hotel is not clean and the food was less then average. I did not enjoy my experience at the hotel and would not recommend that you...

I stayed at Hotel Silva for ten days in Jan, 2014 and it was a very pleasant experience. From the moment I arrived there I could see the place was well-cared for. The building was a nice 19th century style, the entry had a little manicured garden, the inside was clean and fresh. My room was on the first floor,...

As soon we arrived we started having problems, no air conditioner in our rooms, mosquitos almost eat us and wifi poorly reachs the first floor.. Favorable points are it's excellent cuisine (LeMed Ristorante) with very good attention and food quality. My recommendation it's to stay in another place and eat at LeMeds...

In this tucked away hotel, I arrived before my friend who actually was the one who booked the room. He told me that I would not be able to check in without him, but I went to the kind front desk woman and she allowed me to check in. The rooms were typically European, as in to say, small, but...

Pros: - Decent location, close to Bologna metro station - Very nice manager (Hassan) Cons: - Hot, no air circulation - WiFi didn't work properly - No elevator - Small showers My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel for a few on the first leg of our Europe trip. This place was so bad! Me and my girlfriend came from a 2star hostel in Barcelona which was better than this.. We was put in the loft with a window that wouldn't even let air through! Our room was a sauna! There was a red-ants nest in the room, so we got bitten constantly at night, there was no hot...
