This hostel is minutes from the Vatican. There are beautiful balconies on each floor. An exquisite breakfast is served every morning for a small price. My experience here was nothing but good!

The hotel isn't quite a real "hotel"... i think that the correct type of accomodation should be "hostel" as they don't provide the amenities expected in a hotel. I had a bad experience once I got there: I had booked a twin bed room and they gave me a double bed room and took little effort to solve the situation,...

I got a room with a shower (but no toilet) for a great rate. It can be loud in this hostel (it is more a hostel than a hotel) and all the amenities are pretty basic. Free internet was about the best thing but even that only worked sporadically. The breakfast was OK but you had to get in early...

I had booked a dorm bed for three nights. When I arrived I was told I was too old at 51 as there was an age restriction of 40 on dorm accommodation. I was offered a single room at a reduced rate but this still increased my costs by 75 euros. I was also liable for the first nights stay...

Location was good. We were paying 27 euro each per night in a dorm while other people in our room were paying 20. The owner didnt care and just said that was what we had agreed to. Was pretty annoyed by this as we purposefully booked on their website to reduced comission from hostelworld. Doesnt seem like much but over...

Great little space. Perfectly located 5 minutes from Saint Peter's Square. Not the usual hostal (noisy, crowded, dirty). Clean, big and colourful rooms (we even had a sink and shower in the room, although booked with shared bathroom). Huuuuuge and yummy breakfast. Will definitely come back!

I traveled throughout Italy for three weeks and Hotel Colors was my first stop. When I arrived I was given a huge room with a private bathroom and a balcony, even though I had paid for a single room with a shared bathroom. What a pleasant surprise! The staff was kind and helpful. The rooms and common spaces were clean...

Great location! Only a few minutes away from the Vatican and just a bit more to all of the other attractions. I was able to get a (looked newly renovated) single room for 50 Euro/Night. The regular staff was friendly and helpful. Just don't expect any "hotel class service" from them. Its more of a hostel with nice single rooms....

Well, I will start with the good stuff. You can walk to the Vatican and to the Castle di St. Angelo. If you don't have a lot of luggage, once you come in from the Central Termini train station or airport, you can take the metro near the hotel. It's on a quiet corner, the staff is helpful (except the...

I spent my first night in Rome at Hotel Colors. I had a little bit of a crisis because my bank had canceled my credit card because I forgot to call them before I took off and was freaking out and not being myself because I was tired. The sweet girl at the reception area was really understanding and helped...

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
