Like others mentioned, the room sizes are standard for Europe. That said, the place was very nice. Only two blocks from the walls of Rome and super place to begin and end the day. Service is wonderful. Decent wi-fi thru out the hotel. Nice selection of channels on the TV including many in English. Like the bar on-site for that...

We have just spent four nights here and we really enjoyed it. The staff are so helpful and are always available to answer any queries. As documented previously the rooms are small - but very clean and to be honest how much time do you spend in the room on a City Break - we just slept and showered. The...

We just stayed there for two nights. We were very impressed from the beginnig. The employees are very nice and helpful. The two elevators up to the 6th floor was a bit annoying, but we got used to it. The breakfast is great-lots of selections. The rooms were clean. They will leave you a card at the end of the...

During our stay in Rome we experienced kindness, warmth and helpfullness from the staff of the River Palace Hotel. They tried everything to to make our stay a pleasant one.The rather small room and small bathroom were clean and the bed was extremely good. The only disadvantage was the lack of a restaurant. However, the bar and especially the barkeepers were wonderful. In general,we certainly...

We have just had a really enjoyable holiday in Rome based at the River Palace Hotel From the moment we arrived all the staff from porter to manager did everything they could to assist and inform us about the hotel the locality and the attractions of Rome. Our room was neat, not large but adequate, had a fully marble finished...

Arrived in Rome very tired. We had arranged for the hotel to send a private car to pick us up at the airport. After retrieving our luggage we walked out the door to find Alessandro waiting for us. I can't tell you how great he was. Took us on a short tour of Rome before heading to the hotel. We...

We have just returned from a magical trip to Rome to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary. We could not fault this hotel - ideally located just across the road from Piazza del Popolo and the Flaminio metro station. We only actually used the metro for getting to and from Termini when we arrived and departed, as Rome is so beautiful...

The breakfast was fantastic with many different options - it was a nice way to start the day. We loved the happy hour offerings. Very convenient location - easy to walk or catch the subway. Accommodations were excellent. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed for 5 nights in the Suite Villa Borghese. Welcomed with a bottle of wine and a hand written note from the manageress in our suite as we were celebrating our silver wedding anniversary. All staff were friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. Worth paying more for the balcony, as after a long day sightseeing...

Staying in Parioli

Neighbourhood Profile
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavour of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
