The hotel looks completely different from what is published on images. It was realy hot in the room and the air conditioner did not work. the internet work only in the lobby. room gives an unpleasant feeling especially the shower. breakfast very basic and serve the same thing every morning. the good things are that the rooms are spacious for...

We ended up at the Mayfair Residence because we were able to trade out one of our time share weeks. It was a little further out of the center of the city than we would of liked, but we still managed to walk to a few places in 15-20 minutes time. The room itself was HUGE! It was like a...

We just got back from a weekend in Rome and stayed at the Mayfair Residence Rome. Please learn from my mistake. I booked a triple room for my family and a single, king room for my brother who was visiting. I'll start with the pros: 1. On site garage parking for a relatively cheap 18e/night - beware the down ramp...

This hotel is more like a 5-story apartment building. The staff is very helpful, but the room we stayed in was not clean to our expectations. When we opened the drapes, dust flew everywhere! Breakfast was good, but don't go late because they may run out of food. Since we only booked it for 3 nights and we knew we...

This hotel is very clean, modern, HUGE breakfast buffet. Few blocks from bus lines that will take you anywhere through the city. Safe neighborhood. Rooms are very nice, bigger than most. Large bathrooms. Will stay there again. Great staff.

I stayed in this hotel while traveling around Italy. NEVER AGAIN!!! Room was discusting! Shower over flowed because it was clogged. If I wanted friends to come visit they needed to give the desk their passport! If the desk thought they stayed too late they called the room all night even though they were not making any noise! Air condition...

With a family of five options for quality accommodation at a reasonable price can be limited. We chose the Mayfair online based on price and room size and we're so pleased we did. Other hotels on the booking site had much smaller rooms so it's worth checking that point. The suite was spacious, clean and well equipped. The decor was...

Our family of 5 was accommodated in a very spacious suite. There is even a small kitchen, although we didn't use it. With breakfast provided and an excellent restaurant nearby, you don't really need it. Easy 15-minute walk to the Spanish Steps and 5 minutes to Galleria Borghese. Location is not that central but we managed to walk to most...

The hotel is well situation to dining, Roma Termini, and a taxi stand. The morning breakfast was great to get the day started and very convenient. Not the most opulent thing in the world, but on par with a Hampton Inn in the States (and the coffee was better!). Overall, the rooms are a bit dated, but it was comfortable...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.

“We did not have any issue with heating or cooling due to the time of year we travelled so can not comment on that. We did have a view of the abandon building from our bedroom balcony and that left something to be desired, but it is not something we care much about. We spent most of our time out of the room. I did not notice any noise and the front part of our room did face the street.”

“We are family of 4 (teenage sons) and we had 2 rooms. Both rooms had king sized beds, could not have put more than 2 people in each room. I believe they have larger rooms but this is what we preferred.”
