I'm so confused by these positive reviews! My experience at the Trastevere Terrace Suites was incredibly uncomfortable! We were a group of 4 and stayed 3 nights (Baylon and Trevi rooms). The location was great, and thats where the "good" stops. The bed was lumpy, squeaky, & uncomfortable. The bedroom door barely closed, the bathroom door did not close at...

As others have said, the apartment is nice - we had a room with a sofa and balcony overlooking the street which was very pleasant, and the location in Trastevere is perfect. We did however have a mix-up whereby the owner claimed not to have a record of our booking. The room had been booked through LateRooms who claimed they...

We echo so many of the comments already made about the brilliant location, excellent accommodation and Francesco's helpfulness. We chose Trastevere Terrace Suites based on previous Tripadvisor reviews and they were generally spot on. We loved living in a real Roman neighbourhood and eating breakfast in the lovely friendly bar below with the local residents. You won't get muesli and...

My wife and I spent 7 nights in the Colosseum Room and really enjoyed the location very much. We had good night sleeps and especially appreciated Francesco's helpfulness in advising us how to get around correctly. We love to walk. Everything is accessible. We walked to the Pantheon, all the way to the Spanish steps, the colosseum and etc. We...

Wonderful small B&B in a lively area just outside the main town. We had the room with a balcony overlooking the Church and threw open the windows in the morning to let in the sounds and smells of Rome and closed them in the evening to peace and quiet. Good safe area with lots of lively bars and restaurants and...

We were impressed with this place - we made a booking about a week before we arrived. The room was very nice and comfortable and the bathroom a little small but very clean and well maintained. We saw another room that had a jacuzzi in it, so I know there are different room types. The bed was very comfortable. Our...

We stayed here in late November 2012 and really enjoyed our stay. Francesco was a great host and gave us all the info we needed on how to get around the city and see the major sites, plus his recommended local restaurants and bars. The room we had was large, with the bonus of a large jacuzzi. The B&B itself...

We have just came back from staying here for four nights and thought it was just perfect. Francesco the owner was so helpful, we had a late check in and he recommended a shuttle service for us to get picked up from the airport to take us straight to the door. When checking in he even gave us a map...

We stayed there last weekend (july 13-15) and had an awesome time. The room was very nice and the location great. We had a very friendly host. It is not a hotel and if a taxi droppes you off you might think you are at the wrong location but just ring the doorbell and everything will be fine. The room...

A friend and I recently stayed at the Trastevere Terrace Suites for 3 nights and were extremely impressed! We were particularly impressed by the location, cleanliness and size of the rooms, amazing balcony, rooftop patio, breakfast brought to your room daily, and the helpfulness and warm hospitality from Francesco and his family. The beds are very comfortable, great Wifi connection,...

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
