We didn't stay in Rose Santamaria, because staff moved us to Sandy Hotel. It was cosy place! Very very very nice host, Csilla is helpfull, smiled and funny. Room was clean, big. Bathroom also clean. We have fridge, microwave and an electric keattle.
This hotel was recommended to me for its location. In teh beginning it was a bit weird as the check in system is very specific and the hotel is not a real hotel not on the adress it claims to be. BUT the room was very nice, made ofnew ikea furniture furnished with taste. It has a new bathroom, with and interesting style, where it had bathroom door and one other entrance from bedroom. In the beginning it was cute but later it turned outo be a nightmare. Every morning after the first use of bathroom there was a TERRIBLE SMELL from the sink and shower pipes. Like a dead cow. Even if I closed the bathroom door and opened the window there it did not help, since it had another entrance without door, so all the smell went into the room. I felt really sick. There was nothing to do about that. Fix it please! And by the was the bfast included is very basic, it was just a croissant and juice and coffee. I have heard that in Italy they dont do much bfasts, so I wont criticize for that, but dont expect anything else.…
We were traveling with my girlfriend in Rome. The best choce was to find Hotel in the centre. Great breakfast next to the nerest catedral. Excellent and helpful stuff. The lady arreange a reservation in Maison Villa Borghese.
DO NOT STAY IN THIS PLACE, we thought it was cheap because we booked in advance, and it was going to be nice and clean. But it was terrible, 1) The place is completely different than the pictures (completely misleading). 2)Rooms dirty and not very secure place (doors are like paper) if you wanna leave valuables 3)the bar where the breakfast was meant to be served was beyond dirty. It was smelly and i think it was never cleaned it was scary place. what it was was going to be a nice romantic holidays almost get spoilt for this situation. Luckily, So as soon as we saw the place we didnt even checked in, we wandered around and found nice italian who pointed to nearby hostel (hotel santa prassed (www.hotelsantaprassede.it), we were lucky again that they had one free froom in easter. By the way, Local people from nearby shops didn't even know this place (i wondering why).…
In check in we've got some presents from the owner: no taxes and room for 3 instead of 4 people. It was great! We lived in the roof floor, it was a bit hard to get there by steps, but it worth because we had a beautiful view from our small balcony on Santa Maria Maggiore and colorful roofs. Every night we was sitting there with cherry and wine! :) The room was quite comfortable and clean. We had our own bathroom with shower, shell, bidet, toilet, hair-dryer. In the room was conditioner, 3 beds, cupboard, table. If we need something the owner gave it to us with pleasure. In the cost was included breakfast but I ate it once because I never woke up so early :) breakfast is just: orange juice and croissant with capucchino. I am very satisfied with all what I've got in Rose Santamaria hostel for this price. I liked location near metro, Termini, Santa Maria Maggiore and Coloseum. Also conditions and, what is more, I liked very kind and easy-going owner Franco, who was so friendly to us! …
