We found the hotel quite easily, despite comments on here to the contrary!! When we got to reception the welcome could not have been better...and I am sure Omar is a travel guide on the quiet...as I have mobility issues he explained the best for us...and was spot on . Comments on here about the room being small are incorrect...there...

We were very happy with this place... The staff were superb, its brilliantly located, my only 1 issues is that our room was really cold, there was no added heating option as all rooms are off 1 boiler. I would certainly return especially as the terrace was a good size and an excellent view vut they also have an open...

quite a basic hotel, but exactly what we needed for our stay as we were out alot, location is excellent and metro is about 5 min walk away. The staff were so helpful and went above and beyond to help with directions, restaurants and even printed our boarding passes off. There is a lovely roofterrace with great views and lovely...

The hotel was awesome, we had a hard time finding it though, because it was a floor n a building so there was no big sign or something, but what i can say to help a traveler find it, is that it's near the samrt hotel on the opposite side of the street and there's a lighting sign which has...

Great location, close to main train station and bus pick up points. Staff were friendly, helpful and accomodating. Rooms are a little outdated and lacking air conditioning although room was clean and tidy. Great for those on a budget!

I would not stay here again. Although the staff are lovely and the area great, I believe they have 2 locations. We stayed where you check in at 13 Magenta and the reviews did not reflect what we received. There is no airconditioning. They were just installing aircon in reception but all that was available in rooms was a portable...

Excellent desk service, nice Italian guy, helpful if you are a tourist! Good location, 2 min from Termini station, where I arrived and leaved the city. Also close to museums, both metro lines station (Termini station), surrounded by good and affordable restaurants. Rooms are clean, heat works, hot water (the shower is excellent), good wifi, working tv with many channels...

We had a good time staying at hotel indipendenza. We have stayed there numerous times and have always had a good time! There is air-conditioning in the rooms and the location is decent...the main hotel is one street away from Termini. Their second hotel is about a 3 minute walk from Rome Termini

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
