We really enjoyed our eight night stay at Residenza delle Arti in the wonderful neighborhood of Trastevere. The B&B is located on the second floor of a residential building with 2 elevators. The rooms and bathrooms are quite large and comfortable. A nice breakfast of fresh croissant, juice, yogurt, and coffee is served in your room. The staff is just wonderful,...

This is the place to stay if you want to experience the full flavour and character of Trastevere while enjoying modern European living. True, the hustle and bustle of one of Rome's most vibrant neighbourhoods start right outside on the sidewalk and the streetcars are close by, but inside all is calm and the accommodations are all one can ask...

I really recommend this B&B. We have stayed there for eight nights, and it could not have been better! The staff is really friendly, nice and helpful, and the location is just perfect! Close to everything. We are both tall (6 ft and 6'2) and the bed fit us very well, it was very comfortable! The noise from Viale Trastevere...

I would love to give this 5stars. The welcome, the location, the decor... All perfect. The only fault was that our room "Beatrice" was very noisy. On the corner of a main road and side street with traffic lights just outside. The ear plugs helped but not really enough! Thank you to Ursula for the fresh coffee in the morning.

The place is very well located, specially when at the end of the day walking in the city, you have a very good place to go after the shower: Trastevere. You can also go walking to any place on the historical center or take the tram or train just in front.

The staff are very smiling, friendly, Florella gives good advice about public transportation and of practical matter. Our bed sheets and towels were not changed every day. We both found hair in the bed and on the bathroom floor, after our room had been cleaned. Florella promised that the bed sheet wound be changed, but it didn't happen.

Fantastic location and great staff! The reception is not manned 24 hours, so confirm arrival time in advance or be accessible via phone. We loved our stay at the beginning of our holiday so much that we went back at the end. Thanks, Fiorella!! :)

First of all, the position is perfect; second, I was able to get in my room at 8:30 in the morning; third, I got as many coffees as I asked. The room was big, clean, with comfortable beds and pillows, nice decorated. The stuff was friendly and helpful.

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
You will never forget Rome's allure once you see the enchanting view from the Residenza delle Arti. The Residenza delle Arti suites are located in Piazza Sidney Sonnino (near Viale Trastevere) on the second floor of an elegant building with an elevator, built at the beginning of the 20th century. From this great location you can relax and enjoy a fascinating view of life in Trastevere, a neighbourhood that today is all that remains of medieval Rome. The Residenza delle Arti is gracefully encircled by the remains of medieval Rome. Two sites that stand out are Dante Alighieri's house on Via della Lungaretta and the Church of San Crisogono. From these places, through the green leaves of the plane trees, you can admire the busy and unique life of epicurean Rome. hall Residenza delle Arti offers large and luxurious rooms with beautiful bathrooms, equipped with all modern comforts: individual air conditioning and heating in the room, LED TVs with free satellite channels, Wi-Fi Internet connections free in your room, and a direct telephone line with its own individual number. All of the rooms are stylishly furnished with Art Deco hardwood furniture, hand-made in accordance with that period's finest traditions. Espresso and cappuccino are offered for free every morning. It is easy to reach the main attractions of the Eternal City by foot from Residenza delle Arti, attractions such as Gianicolo, Santa Maria in Trastevere, the Botanic Gardens, the Pantheon, 1000 metres away (a 15 min walk), Piazza Venezia, 1300 m (20 min), the Imperial Forums 2.0 km (25 min), the Coliseum 2.0km (25 min), Piazza Navona 1000 m (15 min), the Fontana di Trevi 1.8 km (23 min), as well as the places that symbolize today's dolce vita and shopping, Campo dei Fiori, 700 m (13 min), Via del Corso 1.8 km (23 min), and Piazza di Spagna 2.2 km (30 min). ... more   less
