I spent five memorable days at Villa Habsburg in February. The palace is truly awesome. One has to love vintage buildings - they do have a character which comes with age. However anyone who loves antiques and style will be most happy to stay here. The housekeeper is a jewel. The place is sparkly clean. It is conveniently located and...

Great location as long as you are very fit or have a car, don't mind Mosquitos and smoke from the garden refuse burning. The devil is in the details and we did not have high expectations after reading some of the negative reviews. The suite was ground level at the front and well below ground at the bedroom and bathroom...

May we please reply to these observations one by one? Mosquitos- yes We are in Rome in summer in a beautiful garden with tropical vegetation . AUTAN, easily obtained from any chemist or indeed the housekeeper will settle them. We have yet to find a mosquito net to cover the property in its entirety (c 4 acres) IKEA and the...

I spent a fabulous week here in the middle of July 2012 with my daughter, son-in-law and their three children. We had booked Guest House 2 and the West Tower - the Tower (probably) for me. However, the 60 steps to the Tower quickly changed our plans, so my daughter and husband used that instead. I must say that the...

My family and I were fortunate to spend a week here in March 2012. A wonderful place, totally unique and brimming with character! A beautiful oasis of calm and tranquility just on the doorstep of central Rome. The house, the gardens, the furnishings, we could not have asked for more, a very peaceful place, we loved our time here and...

I feel compelled to write a review, having never contributed to this kind of website before because I was so horrified at the negative comments I read about this wonderful place. My family and I have recently returned from our stay in this magical location and I can honestly say it was one of the loveliest places I've ever stayed....

I have had to write this review as i am so surprised by some of the previous reviews. It is some time since we stayed at the Villa, but we have stayed twice and each time it was wonderful. The first time we actually stayed there for two weeks with our son; who was then 10 years old; using it...

After reading some of the reviews, I really have to ask myself what people would expect when renting a historical building....The Gardens and locations were Fabulous, the appartment was in fact a 3 bedroom home, much larger than we had anticipated, the many rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable and whilst a little dated, really i cannot see that modern...

I have used trip advisor many time before booking a stay and this is the first time I have been compelled to comment. My wife & 2 children stayed in guest house number 2 for a week at the end of October, if you arrive after dark the first thing you must bring is a torch, as the lighting from...

We would like to reply to most important of these comments, also because subjectively we found some to be justified.Others were objectively correct but need explanation . There is more than an element, as always in any appraisal, of beauty being in the eye of the beholder 1. the lights on the driveway and indeed the driveway itself belong to...

I am writing this review because I was recommending the Villa Hapsburg to a friend and stumbled across this website. My family and I stayed at the Villa Hapsburg for a week or so in the fall of 2007. It was wonderful. It was, of course, partly that Rome was wonderful, but the villa was magical (including the Apple Cider!)....

This is not actually a hotel, it's a set of self-catering apartments. We stayed in the Piano Nobile (main floor). Our party consisted of ourselves, our children and my mother-in-law. We had 3 huge bedrooms, each with a balcony with great views across Rome. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. We also had a large lounge and a...
