I've stayed there for 6 days 5 nights with 4 friends. My friend encountered bed bugs and mosquito issue but not me. So I guess the place was not clean enough. Shared bathroom, my friend's shampoo and toothpaste went missing. Located near the metro station, the place had no kitchen but the WiFi is okay. The only outlets located near...

I spent 3 nights in this place and it was my first time in a youth hostel, so I didn't know exactly what to expect. But by making a comparasion with other hostels seen on the internet, this place was quite low-class even though it was just a hostel. Not so comfortable beds, very old bathrooms and lots of noise...

This hostel is located perfectly, next to the Vatican and 5 minutes walk from the metro station. However, the rest is pretty bad. There is no common room, the "TV" they're advertising for is only in use for the owners and placed in the small hallway. There are no computers as on the pictures. Beds are really bad, not comfortable...

I stayed here during easter break. On my first night, I got what I thought was a mosquito bite but then I broke out into at least 10 super itchy bites on my neck, arms, ankles, and back. They swelled up. I looked really ill for my vacation pictures, full of red spots. I checked the bed and noticed the...

We stayed there for three nights. The place was very easy to find from the trainstation. Max. five minutes walk. It was also pretty close to anything. On the other hand our room was on the streetside so the noise was quite loud. Rooms and toilets were comfortables so nothing to complain about those. Security may be problem for someone,...

We stayed here for four nights in a three bed dorm. Only real complaints were that no one was around when we checked in so we had to wait with our luggage for an hour or so before the door was unlocked for us. Also, wifi was a bit spotty in our room at times, but overall the staff was...

Pensione Ottaviano is pretty good if you don't expect luxury, let's be honest. It met our expectations and we didn't have any right to complain ;-) Rooms were clean, showers maybe not that much (they're just old) but the staff is really willing to help you anytime. If you need a map, want to chat for a bit with a...

    Staying in Prati

    Neighbourhood Profile
    Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.

“The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room I booked was an 8 person room, but for 6 out of the 7 nights I was there, only 6 beds were there (an extra was added on my last night when an extra guest showed up). Book with what you can afford, and if there's an issue bring it up with staff, they will probably be able to help you.”
