From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighbourhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to

Roma Termini is the closest central station from the Hotel Fontanella Borghese for access to trains headed to Naples. This station is walking distance from the Hotel Fontanella Borghese--just under 2 miles. We walked it in about 40 mins. However, were I to do it again, I'd probably consider a taxi. While it was a pleasantly sunny day in March, pulling luggage through cobble stone streets and morning rush hour made the walk a bit challenging. This station is very convenient and you can buy tickets through the vending machines in the station.
