The Aberdeen Hotel is right next to the Repubblica Metro Station which made getting around Rome fairly easy. The hotel itself is tucked into an alley and had I not looked at street view on Google maps I might have had trouble finding it. Once in the hotel the staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was sufficient. Good place...

Quiet and central hotel next to Repubblica Metro Station. Avg breakfast - mostly sweet than salty and not so much choice for meat-free food...! The room was cozy but not so well-cleaned (alas) Good and friendly staff

We spent 10 nights at this conveniently located hotel, and had such a delightful experience. The desk staff were friendly and helpful - they made great restaurant recommendations, as well as transportation assistance and site recommendations. The breakfast (included) was generous, and memorable because of the coffee ladies who serve capucchino with a sincere smile and a warm greeting. They...

It is modest hotel very close to Repubblica Metro Station and to the Termini. Simple breakfast, friendly staff (Matteo was the best). Like in most small Italian hotels you have to climb several stairs to the elevator - no problem at all. Hotel occupies just one floor of an ancient but well-kept apartment building with a statue in its yard...

Owerall nice experience. But on the checkout day when we went to pay the bill. They wanted some kind of tax in cash. It felt kind of strange and they wouldn't accept the tax in credit card even though we payed the room with credit card. Otherwise it would have been a 4star

Terrific hotel with a very helpful & accommodating staff in a central location within easy walking distance of a number of popular tourist destinations & transit hubs. Plenty of options nearby for dining, whether you want to enjoy a leisurely meal or take something back to your room. I had a room on the first floor, which was spacious enough...

The hotel is very cosy, and is in a convenient location in relation to Roma's centre. Also staff were very friendly and helpful (5 stars for this). On the downside of it; Wifi which was part of the deal broke up VERY frequently (like every 5mins). Also breakfast is very simple, that it could get boring if you are staying...

The Hotel Aberdeen is in a good spot just off the Via Nazionale. It is part of a bigger apartment/ building and the door is through a gated entrance to the building. Comfortable rooms although the beds were a bit narrow. Decent breakfast which during our stay was somewhat busy due to a tour party. Food was replenished regulaly

We have stayed at the Aberdeen at least 3 times in the past 7 years. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and breakfast is included (variety of items, such as bread, pastries, cereal, yogurt, hard cooked eggs, meat, cheese, juices, coffee). The staff is so friendly and accommodating, and go above and beyond for their guests. This hotel is recommended...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
