We needed to stay close to the Vatican and chose the Farnese for that reason. It's a lovely small hotel with charming and very helpful staff. Breakfast is good - particularly the squeeze your own orange juice and is served on the top floor with glorious views of St Peter's. We were also directed to a wonderful family restaurant just...

Found this hotel online, through Tripadvisor. Trip was a 5 day family trip over from the UK, with our 14 year old daughter. Many hotels are going away from the "antique" look as dated and choosing clean modern lines, this one was a bit "fancier" looking which appealed. Staff were all very welcoming and nice, remembering our room number, breakfast...

My boyfriend had booked this hotel as part of a weekend away to watch Wales in the six nations so proximity to the Olympic stadium was the key criteria. However it is ideally placed for seeing the sites of Rome as it is only a 10 minute walk from St Peter's square and the Vatican and only meters from the...

Charming little hotel with excellent facilities. Staff were more than helpful especially Louis who was on reception in the evenings - full of information and recommended local restaurants for our party of ten. Metro station just around the corner - tickets could be bought at the hotel. Rooms were more than adequate and there was a great selection at breakfast....

This past summer, my husband and I were blessed with the great fortune of celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and my birthday on a Mediterranean Cruise. We lodged at this hotel prior to going and returning from our cruise. Hotel Farnese was amazing with all accommodations, transportation, amenities, convenience, and breakfast! The staff members were professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful.

My husband and I stayed here just one night passing through Rome but had a wonderful stay. The hotel is very well maintained. Our room and bathroom were both good-sized, particularly by European standards. We did have an issue with the toilet not flushing when we first arrived but they addressed it promptly. The breakfast is really lovely -- eggs,...

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
