Me and my cousin stayed here for at least a week. It was ok. The breakfast was fine, nothing fancy but at least you have few choices. The services was ok too. All the receptionist are accommodating, including the waiter in the restaurant. The rooms are fine and the beds were ok. The hotel is not far from the Piramide... More

Great value for money choosing this hotel, clean, comfortable, well equipped although two stars rated, located in a really charming block of Rome and managed with kindness. I will return there next time

The hotel was quiet and conveniently located. The bathroom, like most hotels in Rome, was very small, particularly the shower box, with plastic curtains. Service was discreet and gentle. We needed to iron a few shirts but the service was not available and there was no iron in the room either. The bed was not a queen or king size... More

I am impressed that this is rated a 2 star hotel because it is well maintained, comfortable and in a good location. The sheets are poor quality and rough texture. I had breakfast and dinner here and it was horrible ... very low quality food. For example, I had lasagna for dinner and it was made with frozen mixed vegetables... More

It's nice, clean, convenient. A little basic in terms of facilities. Surprisingly quiet, given its proximity to the main shopping and restaurant district of Testaccio. At the end of the day, not all that comfortable or inviting for a tired customer. I would stay there again, but with this knowledge in hand.

The hotel must have been nice once. It echos some past glory, but these days are long gone. The room was tiny, the bed was bad, and the noise from the heavy traffic on the street was horrible throughout the night. The gentlemen in the lobby were reasonably friendly and the room was clean. One point for each. No words... More

The hotel is well located near the old city, Trastevere and Testacio. The hotel is quite modest. The rooms are small and dated. They are, however, very clean and the internet works well. The staff is helpful. The breakfasts are fairly basic.

Hotel was exceptionally clean and all linen and towels changed daily. Good value hotel but the bathroom and shower cubicle are very small. Breakfast was quite basic and staff very obliging if you needed anything else. Very good transport links within walking distance to hotel and about a 20 mins walk to colosseum. Superb delicatessen opposite hotel called Volpetti ,... More

The Santa Prisca hotel is close to metro station Piramide, but also Colloseum and Circo Maximo are within easy reach. As the hotel is situated in a parc, it is quite quiet. Close by are some shops, bars and the busstop too. The rooms are simple but clean, as is the bathroom. Breakfast is good. You should take the time... More

Staying in Aventine

Neighbourhood Profile
Aventine
Contrary to the chaos of the city, the Aventine is Rome’s oasis. A neighbourhood made up of a patchwork of ancient churches, hidden gardens, private homes and embassies, peace and quiet is top priority and the vibe definitely friends and family. Take a walk around the Aventine and you’ll find a treasure hunt of surprises like the clever little keyhole at the Knights of Malta entrance (the only place you’ll find a line) along with Parco Savello (Giardino degli Aranci) next to the ancient Santa Sabina church. Keep your eyes on the 1960s architecture, several modern buildings are built atop Rome’s original 4th century BC wall.
