We spent 7 nights at Hotel Arcangelo, absolutely loved the location, easy walking distance to the Vatican, and many other sights. The continental breakfast was more than adequate to get your day going. We liked the meat tray and fresh pastries every morning, however they could have do better with the coffee. The staff and the main desk personnel were...

We stayed at the Hotel Arcangelo for four nights in July. The hotel was on a quiet street with a nice roof top garden. It was very close to the Vatican City (5 minute walk). Pros: - quiet rooms - good breakfast (pastries, eggs, bread, cereal, juice, coffee, yoghurt, etc.) - friendly staff - close to lots of shops and...

We stayed at Hotel Arcangelo for five nights - it was our base for exploring Rome. It turned out to be an ideal choice in terms of location - it is in a very nice and quiet neighborhood, yet at a walking distance from the major sights. Since we arrived by car, parking was our major concern and one of...

I booked this hotel for my son and his wife, based on the reviews on this site. It's location is great-close to the Vatican, but there were other major problems with it. The double room they'd booked was not available at check-in, so they were put into two single rooms. The hotel did offer to put them up the first...

Nicely appointed hotel - selected due to its proximity to the Vatican. Decor of rooms different , could be called stuffy , but nice for a change. Staff very helpful and friendly. Good selection for breakfaxt buffet.

3 of us stayed 5 nights in Rome (2 rooms/ 1 double and 1 single) and chose Hotel Arcangelo based solely on TripAdvisor reviews for its convenience, value, breakfast and proximity to Vatican and many other sites. The hotel was attractive, nicely appointed, very quiet and all the staff we encountered were most pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was plentiful...

We found this hotel via Tripadvisor- but eventually chose it due to a really positive review from a friend who'd already stayed there. We got a coach transfer from Ciampino airport which dumps you next to the railway station on the other side of Rome town from the hotel. We decided to trek across Rome center (with baggage) to the...

I'm so surprised by the negative feedback on here - I had a wonderful stay at the Arcangelo. It is perfectly situated for the Vatican, a mere 15 mins or so metro ride from Termini and in a lovely, quiet, safe (or so it felt) area of Rome - quite residential (which is nice) and there are lots of little...

We just returned from a nine day stay at this hotel, and could not have been happier with our choice. Friendly front desk, clean every where, room, lobby, roof terrace. Room cleaned, linens replaced daily, roof terrace an exceptional place to relax at the end of a busy day, quiet, good neighborhood. A+

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
