We stayed here in Holy Week when Rome is very busy. The location is ideal, near enough to walk to the metro, buses, or straight to beautiful places, but in a quiet residential area. The rooms are clean and traditional, breakfast lovely and there was plenty of it! We will definitely stay here again if/when we come back.

This is a quiet, nice hotel with helpful staff. Our shower head didn't work, but we had a wand. The location was ok for us, as we only had one day where we went down to the main tourist locations (Colosseum area) and we took a taxi. The breakfast was good. The rooms are clean. If you are going to...

A very nice, central Hotel in Rome, rooms basic but adequate for my needs. Breakfast from 7:30am, buffet, very substantial and staff very helpful and friendly. I had a very enjoyable stay here. Very convenient for the Vatican and tourist sites.

This is in walking distance of everything between the Vatican and the Colosseum so that's a big plus. However there is a noticeable sewage type smell from the bathroom and the shower leaked all over the bathroom floor which may be the cause or it may just be Rome, as we've heard the same comments from other travelers! Finally they...

Positives: the hotel arranged our door-to-door transfer from the airport (met in the arrivals hall). The staff are very reserved but pleasant. The hotel is in a quiet area about 10 minutes walk from St Peter's Square. 10 mins walk to the Ponte Cavour over the Tiber and into Rome itself. It's clean and tidy. Decent shower, well-lit bathroom. There's...

Our stay at Hotel Arcangelo, Via Boezio 15, Rome, 00192 did not get off to a great start but certainly improved during the time we spent there. Initially the guy on reception was not very friendly or helpful but we saw a warmer side to him during our stay. Parking is a slight challenge as the car park is actually...

the rooms were quite small and not what we expected. Walls were so thin I could hear everything going on jn the next room. On first night we decided to extend our stay. The man working jn the evening said it was possible as our rooms were still available. The next morning the new man at reception informed us we...

I have to be honest, I travel quite a bit but I have never experienced anything like the behaviour of this hotel. I booked and prepaid for a hotel room with Hotel Arcangelo and just a short time before I was due to arrive in Rome I was informed by the hotel via email that due to an error on...

Everything was good except the hairdryer which if you have more than 2 hairs to dry you would spend your entire stay in the bathroom! Seriously they need updating fast!! Also there is a need for a magnifying mirror for shaving and make up.The mini bar in the room, we cannot understand why it is so difficult to restock the...

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
