The hotel was clean, the rooms were modern and well laid out and the location was amazing. The hotel did not have very much charm however and that warm service was not always present. No wifi in rome was not very good! - Laundromat on same street as hotel has highspeed internet - very handy. The breakfast was ok but...

Excellent hotel, really close to all key areas of Rome. Rooms are small but no different to that of other old European hotels. Rooms very clean, breakfasts are basics. There's a small bar near by and lovely restaurants near by. Definitely come back

Just returned from a 3 night stay at the Memphis & was more than satisfied with our stay! LOCATION The real beauty about this hotel is it's location slap bag in the centre of Rome. It's adjacent to the Trevi Fountains and Spanish Steps and is half way between both the Colloseum and the Vatican which are opposite ends of...

I found myself with a spare night due to a glitch in my itinerary, my doing, I was due to stay at Hotel Alexandra but as it was the weekend of the Beatification of the Pope - the rates went up 200%. So, thanks to Trip Advisor I found this hotel closeby, and I discovered it's in a great location....

Many other reviewers have remarked upon the great location, attentive staff and recent modern refurbishment of the hotel. Our downsides were a small dark bedroom, toilet flushing noises, doors slamming, early morning street noise from the alley at the front of the hotel and a slightly limited breakfast choice. The 4 stars rating is only just about justified. However, we...

Came back yesterday from Rome where we had stayed at the Memphis Hotel. On arrival, I did wonder about the little cobbled back street it was on but it is at the end towards a busy area so I felt no safety issues. I would echo almost exactly the previous two reviews. Our room was smallish but with a big...

Three nights at the Memphis. We were a family party of five using two rooms. The hotel is situated in a narrow cobbled street about 400 metres from the Trevi Fountain. This is a small smartly styled hotel. The staff are quietly proffessional and were always willing to help. The rooms are small but equipped with a televison and a well stocked...

1. They call themselves a 4 star hotel but it is not. It is essentially a bed & breakfast with a decent elevator. 2. The rooms were clean and the bathrooms renovated, but the walls were paper thin--you could hear everything all night, which kept us up. 3. Our room faced an alley and was very dark and dingy. 4....

Yes, the rooms are small, and ours lacked natural light. But rooms at the back are very quiet, and we slept very well. The hotel has been refurbished to a high standard, and is immaculately maintained. Bathrooms are well equipped (great shower, hair dryer, toiletries etc) and towels and bedlinen changed every day. Breakfast was OK - the usual city...

Staying in Trevi

Neighbourhood Profile
Trevi
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighbourhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
