Hotel Cilicia is an average 3* hotel that could be better described as 2* with extras. Our room was a decent size, with a mini bar/fridge and built in wardrobes with additional storage and a good bathroom, although the shower was an experience and not...More
Small hotel about 1.5km from the nearest metro station, so a long way from Vatican city any tourist areas, metro is fast and efficient if you wish to risk it, I had two pickpockets try to steal my passport luckily I caught them.

Taxi ride is approximately 25 minutes, although the main road outside of the hotel is very busy at the peak times. Leonardo Express trains run from Rome Fiumicino airport to Rome Termini in the city centre every 30 minutes, journey time 32 minutes, fare around €14, no reservation necessary or possible, just buy a ticket at the station and hop on the next train. Once at the Rome Termini, which is like their Kings Cross St Pancras (I'm assuming you're British Ryan) - Take the local Metro.
We downloaded a free app called CityMapper on IOS and it was a life safer. Just change the city to Rome and it will direct you the most direct and quickest way to the hotel.
