Hotel Emona Aquaductus was lovely hotel. Close to the subways and buses. The staff was very helpful and very kind to us. We were in Rome for the first time and they were very helpful. Our room was very nice. The breakfast they served was a great send off to start our exploration of the city. We had a great... More

We arrived after our all night flight to Rome, and our room was ready, except for the bed, but that was okay, as we stored the luggage, changed and went to explore the eternal city. Upon return the room was completely ready. The quirky charm was just what we wanted in our Rome experience. The art and decor added a... More

A very pleasant and traditional hotel in the beautiful city of Rome. Super clean rooms, great looking garden, lobby and fantastic breakfast. Hotel staff are all professional and friendly. Hotel is located near Tram station and with a 1.50 Euro ticket you will be at the Coliseum in less than 15 minutes. I highly recommend this hotel to all.

If you're looking for a sleek, modern hotel with all the latest mod-cons, then this is not the place for you! If you're looking for a comfy bed, a bathroom that is small but does the job, a powerful shower, super friendly and helpful staff, and transport links into central Rome, then this hotel ticks all those boxes. The breakfast... More

The hustle and bustle of Rome can be left behind for a peaceful night's sleep in this quaint little hotel accessed through a pretty little courtyard. Just a 20 minute walk from Roma Centrale (it is also close to the tram stop if you don't fancy the walk) the hotel is opposite the viaduct park. We found it very convenient... More

A small hotel , maybe 30 rooms, elegant courtyard and room - antique furniture, marble floors etc Friendly, informative and helpful staff. Usefully close to local tram terminus, a little noisy at night from some traffic. A special thanks to Andrea who gave us easy directions to the start of the Appian Way as opposed to Google Maps which didn't.... More

Stayed a week and it was a very pleasant stay. It is a beautiful small hotel with a nice courtyard at the entrance, perfect to unwind with a glass of wine at night. Our room was small with a nice view, good a/c and very clean and quiet. Location is ok, good access to tram and metro. Breakfast was included... More

Maybe four stars is a bit to much. But its on the upper side of 3 stars for sure. We had an early flight so arrived at the hotel at 11 O'clock, when we where checking in the staff was very friendly and they even had the room availible already so that was very nice. It is a big plus... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
