I stayed in Rome for the second time this year with my partner. This is also the second time I have used the Beehive to book my stay. This time as we were a travelling couple, I requested a private room in the Acacia Suite. My last experience with the Beehive was a great one in a 8 bed dorm,... More

We really enjoyed our stay at the Acacia apartment. The location is excellent - only a short walk away from Termini Station (not too far to drag bags) and all the major tourists sites are easily accessed either on foot or by bus or metro. For the uninitiated the street can be a little noisy at night time. This is... More

This place was spacious and clean. However, I am a light sleeper and found it very hard to sleep at night. The place is located above a restaurant which tends to get a little rowdy with music, conversation etc. A tram passes by as well which made it more difficult to sleep. Other roommates were considerate. Location is great since... More

This place was perfect for us as we were traveling with our daughter, her husband and our 1yr old granddaughter. Building was quiet and clean, well kept. The small kitchen was perfect and the living space was nice. Rooms were big and the place was VERY clean. Beds were small and too low to the ground for grown-ups. my only... More

We were very pleased with the accommodation and being able to cook for ourselves. Sharing bathroom and kitchen was not a problem as others were considerate. The noise of the trams and revellers below in the street was unexpected and unwelcome! Staff at the Beehive were helpful and able to make useful recommendations

The location of Acacia is good and the room was very spacious and surprisingly quiet given it is above a noisy street. The shared facilities were a little awkward as we were sharing with a family group. Wifi reception is very flakey. The recommendations for places to eat are superb and the breakfasts at the Beehive are yummy.

I stayed here in September 2013 and had a great experience. UPSIDES: a 5 minute walk from Roma Termini, so fantastic place as a launching pad to exploring Rome by Metro and getting to and from train stations and airport. Great value for the price. Great view from the room. Apartment was bright and cheery and old and charming. Big... More

Good location-close to train station which suited us having arrived on overnight train. Our room wasn't ready until 3pm but we were able to have a nice shower and use the facilities. The recommendations from the staff as to where to eat and drink were brilliant. Very clean, tidy and safe. Quite close to the colosseum and forum and close... More

This is not a fancy hotel, but if you're looking for a clean, basic room at a budget price it will do you just fine. The room gets nice light and the beds are comfortable. We arrived at reception at noon and were totally jet lagged. The room was not available until 3pm, but they let us use the facilities... More

Staying in Acacia, feels like you are a true member of Rome staying in your own Italian home in the centre of the city. when we were tired from sightseeing, we just went back to the guestroom and cooked pasta in the well equipped kitchen and refreshed from walking around the city on the balcony. The bathroom was very clean.... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
