We had a lovely one night in Rome. The host was very helpful and directed us to a great gelato shop. We would for sure stay here again. The only down side was a small shower, but I've come to realize that's the norm in Italy.

Firstly, the location is great because you're maybe a 5 minute walk from Termini (we came in from the airport on the Leonardo Express so it was an easy track). We stayed in the Duchessa Room which had a great balcony (I think ether's a restaurant underneath somewhere as sometimes you get a whiff of curry). Not unpleasant just something...

We stayed here for 4 nights at the end of a two week trip. Coming from Termini, the building is very close and easy to find. Pietro was waiting for us outside. He explained entry into the building and helped with bags. The building has a doorman most of the day, and there is an elevator. Pietro covered everything about...

My mother and I stayed at Pietro's place for 2 nights in October. Pietro was so kind to wait for us at the gate to let us in the building. He also helped carry our luggage to the lift. The room is located on the 2nd floor of a beautiful old building. Upon entering, you'll see a lovely fountain and...

Though the location itself is not scenic it is less than a 10 minute walk from the main train station of Rome and within 20 -30 minutes walk of many must see locations eg The Colosseum and The Roman Forum. The room itself was very clean and comfortable with old style attractive furniture and excellent bathroom. My room had a...

We stayed for 5 nights here and I can say this B&B is the best ever I have seen. It was very closed to Termini station. We could get here within 5 min from the station. At first time, When we couldn't find the main gate, I called Pietro and (because there was no signboard) He ran out to help...

The area around Terminii station in Rome seems a little sketchy but it is convenient to public transportation and cheaper than many other areas. When the doors to the building housing B&B Biancagiulia open you enter a beautiful courtyard garden complete with trickling fountain, koi, and turtles. The B&B is immaculately clean and I was surprised to find my bed...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
