Hotel Colosseum, a magnificent terrace overlooking Rome... Welcome to Hotel Colosseum. You are in the characteristic Rione Monti, one of the oldest and most picturesque neighbourhoods of the "Eternal City", in the peaceful and quiet Via Sforza, at n°10. Thanks to our exclusive location, in the centre of Monumental Rome, you will have the opportunity to visit the main tourist attractions on foot. In the immediate vicinity of the hotel, you will find the Basilica of S. Maria Maggiore, the Colosseum and the Domus Aurea. Crossing Via Cavour will take you to Via Urbana. Called "Vicus Patricius" in antiquity, it is remembered above all for the visits, which tradition claims were made by St. Peter to the house of a Christian senator here. A short, scenic walk along the streets of Rome will also take you to the Imperial Fora and the Church of S. Pietro in Vincoli, which houses Michelangelo's famous statue of Moses. Hotel Colosseum is located at one of the highest points of Esquiline Hill and provides a 360° panoramic view of Rome and its surroundings from a splendid, furnished terrace on the eighth floor of the building, where the guests can enjoy the view while savouring a drink from our bar. All the rooms and common areas of the hotel have Wi-Fi coverage. An internet point is also available for use. At the reception, you can get information about all means of travelling through the city (taxi and bus services, car, scooter and bicycle rentals) and about guided tours. The stops of numerous city buses are a few meters from Hotel Colosseum and the "Cavour" (Line B) metro stop is about 3 minutes away on foot. The Termini railway station is 700 meters away. The hotel is situated in the historical centre of Rome, outside the limited traffic zone (ZTL); therefore, it is possible to get to us by car and park in the nearby partner garage. Otherwise, it is possible to book our fixed-price transfer and airport pick-up/drop-off service.

Not a New Hotel but Great location, Clean, Safe and Friendly. Great Breakfast with lots of variety and staff take all precautions for Covid . As well even though the roof top bar was closed when I was there, I enjoyed going up and having a glass of wine to unwind with the views of city..

Hotel's Favourite
The staff was very helpful and welcoming! They picked us up from the airport and told us all about Rome and places to go while they drove us to our “home” hotel for the week. The room had everything we needed for our stay. The hotel offered a nice complimentary buffet breakfast each morning which we enjoyed. We had booked several early morning tours, so having a tasty meal in our hotel before we left was a bonus. Although the rooftop bar is closed at this time of year, we were still able to go and enjoy the views there...WOW! We loved that this hotel was walking distance to many attractions, restaurants, shops, and the Metro, and the helpful hotel staff gave us a map and showed us the easiest way to get to where we needed to go. They even ordered a taxi for us when we needed to get to a 7 am tour. We were picked up by a private car set up through the hotel and returned to the airport. Thank you Hotel Colosseum for a beautiful experience in your beautiful city!

Overall, the room and location were excellent. The hotel staff was very helpful and professional. Worst aspect: bed was too firm for me Best aspects: bathroom shower was roomy and water pressure was excellent, rooftop patio was a very nice place to spend time in the evening with great views and a bar

Hotel Colosseum was perfect for my last trip to Rome! It was centrally located next to Termini station which made visiting other cities in Italy easy and quick and was also surrounded by great restaurants, great sites to see, and was a clean, safe, and quiet neighborhood. The staff at the hotel was exceptional and they were all so welcoming, friendly, and helpful. They scheduled our COVID 19 test for us so that we could return home and helped us make taxi arrangements whenever we needed them. I felt right at home here and will definitely use them again whenever I return to Rome!

From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in good hands - and the four days we spent at the Hotel Colesseum were fantastic. As I was travelling with my daughter, I'd emailed before checking on the sort of room, making sure there were twin beds, etc - and we found a lovely room on the first floor - with a small terrace! Room was clean, well kept, and the shower was hot and powerful (!) It is close to the train station and to most of the attractions. If I had any criticisms, I'd say that the breakfast was a little basic (for example, hot food was only dry scrambled eggs and a bacon/sausage mix) - but the covid measures of waitstaff serving from the buffet was well done - and very friendly. I'm ashamed to say we only made it to the roof on our day of departure - but WOW - what a view. There was a luggage room where we'd been able to keep our bags safe while we made the most of the last few hours - but ended up with sore feet admiring the view. Finally - and this is the best bit - special mention to all the staff - who were friendly, courteous and kind. We had a very magical trip and this lovely little hotel was a big part of that.
