3 star bed and breakfast with nice rooms and friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast in next door restaurant worked out fine. Location was perfect with only 2 minutes walk to Pantheon, shopping, restaurants etc. Small outside terrace in the backyard but closed after 2300hrs as bedrooms turn towards it and you needed to get the staff to open it as...

An absolutely wonderful hotel in the very heart of Rome. The staff is kind and helpful, and ambiance, magical! If you can, request the 4th floor mini-suite.. Incredibly comfortable bed, ancient stone details, quiet as a cocoon with a deluxe designer bathroom. You are within walking distance of all the major monuments, and about 100ft from the Pantheon, and The...

Very nice hotel , very good location .. the farthest thing to walk to is perhaps the Colosseum and it's about a mile. I found Roberto and his staff working there to be very professional and took care of business amazingly well. Any concern or request I had they took care of right away. I have to say I really...

This is the worst hotel to deal with. After traveling 6 hours to get to the Hotel Pantheon with a confirmed reservation in hand, we were told that they were under construction and our room was not available and had not been for 3 weeks. When asked why they did not email us or try to contact us ahead of...

Rome is full of wonders. One of them is how this hotel got a 4-star rating. The room was in desperate need of refurbishment. And in fact, they were about refurbishing the rooms, resulting in a terrible noise all over the place. Starting from 08:00 to 17:00 every day during our 4- night stay. Even on the Saturday. Obviously, you...

Wonderful place to stay, perfect location and great people. Definitely highly recommended. You can step out of the hotel and visit the Pantheon & the smaller by lanes of Rome provide a lot of entertainment for the entire family. Good breakfast at the hotel and even better options for lunch & dnner, within a stones throw.

Location is the attraction. The hotel is right around the corner from the Pantheon and within a 10 minute bus ride to most of the Rome sites. Many restaurants--right as you step out of the hotel so there is never a question about where to eat. Our room was on the 3rd floor, above the Via dei Pastini...the street on...

Lovely comfortable hotel in a very central location beside the Pantheon, helpful staff and lovely breakfasts with plenty of room to site and eat breakfast (unlike our previous Italian hotel!). Because we were high up away from the street, we had no trouble with noise. We enjoyed it very much.

Just a few steps to patheon; Close to other sites. Teresa at desk lobby very helpful and friendly. Great breakfast with cozy atmosphere. Enjoyed being lulled to sleep with the happy sounds from the piazza and restaurants below.

Perfect central location for all of the things you want to see in Rome. Right next to the Pantheon, and 6 min. walk to Trevi fountain, so lots of tourists and tourist shops on the streets near the hotel. 20 minutes to the Colosseum. The Vatican is a 35 min. hike, but city busses are available. We found the hotel...

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hotel Pantheon is located in an elegant eighteenth-century building in the heart of Rome, just a short walk from the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain and Piazza Navona, in peaceful surroundings, characteristic of an old pedestrian street. The interior of this small but luxurious Rome hotel is well-cared for down to the finest detail, embellished with special, unique details such as the Liberty-style staircase in wrought iron, the wooden-clad walls, the ceilings with old wooden beams, the Roman terracotta floors, the artistic windows and the trompe-l'oeils decorations on the hall walls. The breakfast room is a charming place, thanks to the light of the Carrara marble and the dome ceiling painted with sky-colored trompe-l'oeil. Intimate and friendly, the Hotel Pantheon offers a relaxing stay for its guests, also thinking of their well-being with their range of high quality, personalized services such as ticket booking for shows and exhibitions, guided tours of Rome and the surrounding area, suggestions on itineraries and places that must be seen and the plentiful hot or cold buffet breakfast. ... more   less

“We were given room 401 (lifts go up to floor 3 so a few steps to negotiate to access the annex part of this hotel. ) which accommodated the sofa bed for the 3rd person in the space with a window. The 2 twin beds was in linked but closed space with no windows so if you are a bit claustraphobic request a room where you can see a window. The TV is bolted onto the wall of this closed space which we did not turn on (no English channels and if the TV speaker arial in the other space accidentally touched the steel tray which supported the kettle etc the speakers made a loud buzzing noise). Shower is a sit down plastic spa affair which is a bit fiddly with the plastic knobs coming loose when adjusting. The seat takes up space so if you are of a larger size and you don't want to sit when showering you will not get in; think size of economy airplane toilet. Cannot comment if other rooms are better but the doors on the left of lifts where adorned with pictures whereas the doors to the right did not.”
