The room was exactly as pictured - nothing fancy but clean and the beds were comfortable. The room was made up every day with clean towels. The street was very noisy but the room had thick Windows that cut out the noise. The hosts were friendly and very helpful.

We stayed for one night in this hotel. It was only a five or so minute walk from Termini , the main train station, and was easy enough to find. The people at the desk were extremely helpful in suggesting buses and ways to get to specific parts of the city. They also suggested good places to eat. The hotel...

I've had a very quick stay, 2 nights only, in Mar 2016, I found it offering a good value for money service. The hotel is nicely located at 300m from Termini station & not so far from the city's main tourist attractions (I've gone everywhere on foot from there). The bed is quite spacious, so sleep quality is guaranteed. It's...

We spent 10 nights in hotel Everest in February 2016. We had a queen bed room - room 6. Good, clean rooms. Tv was good, had many channels, including some in English. The staff were really nice and helpful - one of the best things about this hotel. When we checked in, one of the guys at the frontdesk was...

This was a basic but clean hotel very close to Termini station. Don't expect anything fancy, or indeed breakfast, but our room had a fridge and was fine as a base. Nasty view of internal courtyard, but then we had no traffic noise. Staff very friendly and helpful, heating was a little noisy and room was a bit too hot...

I stayed in this hotel for 4nights in November. Hotel is in fact an entire floor in a building with 3 other hotels so be very careful for the sign in front of the entrance as it is a small one. We were two persons and they gave us a 5bedded room so it was enormous and very appreciated. Room...

Everest is a small hotel- taking up part of a single floor of a building shared with other hotels and businesses. It is ideally placed, within walking distance of most of what you want to see, and right next to the main Termini train and metro station. Rooms are functional; didn't have AC but wasn't needed in October, so I'd...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
