I was staying in the Hotel Corot in late June when it was hot and humid!! However the AC worked the best I have ever had on a trip to Europe. If it was not cold enough or too hot you could call to the desk and they would changed it immediately. There was an airline ticket problem and they...

After being offered a very poor room with a double bed when we made enough fuss were given a much nicer room with two single beds. The double glazing was incredibly effective so we found it very quiet at night. Breakfast was adequate and the staff were helpful, especially Mattiu. Very clean and good value. Ideal for the tour buses...

I decided, with my daughter's godfather, to take a trip to Rome, for tourism reasons. So, Corot seemed perfect, since it's located a few meters from the side entrance of Termini (Rome's central r/r station. So, booking.com, grabbed ourselves the internet offer, all the pics of the hotel were fine. Let's go... We arrived there...the outside is in the same...

3 adults booked in for 2 January for the 1 night, did a lot of research before booking this hotel. Great location look for the coffee shop called "Caffè Trombetta", and the hotel is 30 seconds from there. Check in was trouble free and a lady showed us to our room on the 1st floor. Very spacious and clean, bathroom...

Bargain stay at good location; went during summer, air conditioning operated till 7am, room was hot & stuffy; excellent breakfast; walking distance to Termini; poor wifi; do request for rooms at the lower levels as the lift is rather slow; plenty of restaurant nearby

When I booked I wasn't expecting a nice place but I was impressed. Good location, it is near Termini. The room was clean and in good state and breakfast had breads, eggs and fruits. The price charged was fair.

We stayed for 5 nights in this hotel, and it was more than enough. The room is small, the bed is not comfortable, but the room is clean. The staff are very friendly. The lady in the breakfast area are very helpful and wouldn't mind making you a fresh cappuccino. Very good location to the Termini station and the bus...

Good for a one or two night stay. Our room was small, no gap between the twin beds. Beds were hard. Shower room looked new and was clean. My understanding was that the air conditioning came on when movement in the room. Had no problem with a/c. Older couple who greeted us were nice, although it did take a while...

Very nice, modest but comfortable and clean hotel few metres from the railway station and metro. Internet is medium speed. Rooms are rather quiet. Personnel is friendly and helpful (there are also free maps of Rome). Breakfast is good: pastries, cereals, coffee, tea, eggs, cheese etc., no fresh fruits unfortunately. In general, nice stay. We recommend this hotel.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
