I loved the locality of this cozy hotel. It is close to the metro, amazing restaurants in the area, great upscale name brand stores in the neighborhood. The hotel itself is very nice and the highlight for us was having breakfast on the rooftop terrace. ps: breakfast was absolutely superb.

Best hotel till now, we come to Rome every year sometimes even more than once, found this hotel on secret escapes at a rate of 90 euro per night breakfast included. Location is perfect, not only close to Vatican city but at walking distance of other top locations. We had a rental car to drive up to umbria, hotel had... More

The accommodation was perfect for proximity of the Vatican. Walking distance to shopping, dining and sightseeing of the Vatican. The breakfast was excellent and the setting was even better. Highly recommend this hotel!

Myself and a friend stayed here on one of the weekends, of the six nations rugby weekend in feb 2016. Lovely staff and lovely rooms. Would recommend highly. Super close to the vatican which was very handy if time is short.

This was our first visit to Rome and we spent 4 nights at the Hotel Dei Consoli. We had a corner room with a balcony that overlooked the street outside and we felt very lucky to get this room, it made our break really special. The location of the hotel is fantastic, it's just around the corner from the Vatican... More

The hotel's top floor with dinning area and beautiful view of the city makes this hotel a gem. Room's decor screams Rome! Our room was clean, bed comfortable, nice wood storage units for clothes. Clean updated elegant bathroom. This hotel offers a great location with its walking distance to Vatican City.

I paid for the Junior Suite. Once we arrived, the Jr. Suite was unavailable and they put us in a Standard Room. I was told by the reservation head clerk that the manager would arrange for a refund. She was never available. Every day I went to the desk, the manager was NEVER available. At the end of our stay,... More

We booked here as part of a Thomas Cook package after scouring through reviews. We were not disappointed. Clean, well appointed and excellently located to use as a base for a city break. There is a metro stop just 5 minutes around the corner and all the main sites to see are either next to or walking distance from a... More

We got a really great value deal for this lovely hotel in Rome from Secret Escapes. It's a great example of a small, quant, old-fashioned but classic European hotel. We had a room on the first floor with a small balcony overlooking the street and it was lovely to open the doors and sit on the balcony watching Rome go... More

This hotel is very convenient for a visit to the Vatican, but farther away from other Roman attractions. That being said, this is the place we will be staying in every future trip to Rome. Nice rooftop breakfast spot. Rooms were clean and staff was friendly.

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
