The Cicerone was always a Hotel which prided itself in excellent service and care for its' customers, not so today. It always felt like a family run Hotel, now it is corporate and has no individuality.Won't be back.

It's hard to adequately evaluate the Hotel Cicerone in Rome because my frame of reference is primarily U.S. standards. Compared to an average Marriott or Hilton it doesn't compare well. But the U.S. market has gotten so competitive to insure that high margin business travelers are being catered to. The Hotel Cicerone is OK but not much more at check...

I'm writing this from my room which is full of green marble...modern engineered wood floors...with red and gold touches. Lots of room. Walk to Vatican...Spanish Steps and Piazza de Nova. Bartender is good at introducing you to Italian wines and liquors although wait staff is brusque. Great people watching from the large glass windows and outdoor seating

Staff were the rudest people I've met in my life. The wifi was awful; practically non-existent. Do not stay here if you need wifi! The staff were rude; our bedroom door was left open and when we complained we were accused of leaving it open ourselves - even when we explained that when we left the room in the morning...

Our stay in June was part of a two week trip to Europe. Hotel Cicerone was one of several we stayed in. Comparatively speaking, the rooms and common areas were clean and attractive. The hotel is close to/within walking distance of the Vatican and other notable destinations. Service in the attached, hotel-owned restaurant was extremely slow, even by European standards....

The Cicerone is a 4 star hotel beside the Vatican and an ideal location to Base yourself for your visit to Rome. The hotel decor is somewhat dated however that is irrelevant when you experience the helpfulness of the hotel staff. Their contribution to our enjoyment of Rome was immense. The Concierge desk is fantastic for suggestions about when and...

My wife and I recently stayed several nights at this property as part of a tour group. Good location. Nice lobby with bar. Rooms are in need of renovations. Wallpaper was coming up, carpet was worn, etc. The breakfast we had each morning was decent. Buffet style. Since we booked through a tour group, not sure what our charge was...

It's a really nice hotel close to almost everything important in Rome. You're 5 minutes away walking from the Vatican, 10 minutes away walking from Fontana di Trevi and 20 minutes walk from The Colosseum. It has wifi, comfy rooms, and clean bathrooms. I really enjoyed being here for 3 nights. Definitely would reccomend it to outside visitors.

We went to Rome for 2 days on the 26th to the 29th of July and we were very happy with the service in the hotel. They had a variety of fantastic breakfast and the Resturant down stairs was the best food that we had. To die for really! Definitely would recommend this hotel

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.

The Cicerone hotel is a large, bright, modern building perfectly inserted in the nineteenth century architectural style of the Prati district.
