It's such a beautiful hotel, full of character and history. It's very close to Via Veneto so it's perfectly located. The hotel itself is just gorgeous - very high ceilings, warm colours and old paintings everywhere - it's decorated in an 'antique-y' style but it very warm and welcoming. Our room was gorgeous - , decorative wooden ceilings, and a...

I chose this hotel after reading all the glowing reviews. Maybe I was expecting too much, but my husband & I were somewhat disappointed. Our deluxe room was attractive - although the mattress & the pillows were hard as rocks. Breakfast was good - but very pricey at 30 euros. I asked the concierge to book our appointment time at...

I arrived earlier than anticipated and check in was not until 14:00. The front desk were extremely welcoming and pleasant and checked to see if my room was ready (it was 10:00). They told me my room would be ready in one hour. However as I had some free time I decided to do some sight seeing and left my...

The hotel is located just off the very trendy Via Veneto and about 5/10 minutes walk in the other direction from the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. There was no noticeable noise up in our street facing first floor bedroom. It was also close to the Villa Borghese park. Our room was enormous, with cupboards in the lobby linking...

A lovely luxury hotel in a great location. Our stay was wonderful - staff very helpful, everything clean and all in all a perfect long weekend. Although pricey, would definitely reccomend a meal in the restaurant - a table outside on the terrace overlooking the city was lovely. A great hotel.

Having just returned from a fantastic trip to Rome I felt that I should write a review on this hotel in the hope that it may help future travellers. The hotel itself was lovely, the breakfast was great and was served in beautiful surroundings but we felt a little disappointed with the room which we were allocated. I had booked...

We just returned from Rome and recommend this hotel. We were a little worried about the Splendide given some of the prior reviews, but found a very plush, smallish hotel which we would certainly return to again. The hotel is situated very near others, such as the Sofitel and the Marriott, just outside of the Borghese. The Spanish Steps and...

Though the cab to the Splendide was not memorable, the hotel was. Quiet, but excellent location … 5 minute walk to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, all that you can take in for as long as you choose. We did arrive early but the staff made up our room within 10 minutes. Check-in and concierge service at the front desk...

Our room was beautiful; they upgraded us. Great location, minutes from everything. Restaurant on top floor, very good but expensive. Staff was efficient, friendly and very accommodating. Street cafes - as soon as you sit, check doubles. Stand at bar for breakfast and lunch. Costs a lot less. Nino's was our favorite place toeat. American Express booked the best tours.

We booked the hotel through our travel agent so we did not have any advance knowledge of this establishment. As most hotels the concierge hit us up as soon as we hit the counter for tours. I don't mind that because its usually a win win, they get a piece of the business and you get a tour from a...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
