This hotel is a very good option for tourists: it is near everything but, at the same time, in a quiet area, so at the end of a busy day in Rome, you can rest a little bit and visit some less crowded places for dinner. There are some good options nearby (around Piazza Cavour). The hotel is nice, a...

Sixteen friends stayed at the Hotel Diplomatic for several days during our visit to Rome. It was a great location....walking distance to the Vatican and other great tourist spots. Restaurants were available within walking distance as well. The hotel staff were all helpful & eager to please. For me personally, this was my 2nd stay at this location, and will...

Great spot, midway between City and Vatican. 5mins walk over the bridge to city where Trevi, Colosseum, Pantheon and numerous eateries and bars await. Easy 15min walk along the river to Vatican City. Hotel is average, typical Italian style. Clean, great reception staff, food OK. Recommended for short stays.

We stayed here 7 years ago when we were in Rome and couldn't wait to return!! It was exactly as we remembered it! Not the most modern of hotels and certainly not very big but in a great location with nice clean rooms and a helpful staff! We look forward to visiting again in the future!!

No, this is not a luxury five star hotel, however the property makes up for the lack of luxury with impeccable service and a great location (15 minute walk from Vatican City) and 30 minutes or less everywhere else. Well, the Colosseum was actually a 45 minute walk. However, the buses run in front of the hotel if you are...

Stayed here for two nights with husband for a special birthday break. The hotel is in the most fabulous location with St. Peter's and the Vatican within 10 minutes walking distance. The piazza Cavour at the end of the street is beautiful. Some nice restaurants and coffee shops etc within a street or two. The hotel itself is ok. The...

I arrived on June 29th with a group of 40 people which included adults and 17 and 18 year olds. We arrived in the morning so only 2 rooms were ready, one on the 2nd floor and one on the 4th floor. We were told that we could store our luggage in both rooms while we go out to explore...

This hotel is fine. It's location is pretty good without being brilliant. It's about a 10min walk to city centre. Breakfast was ok with cereal, meats, toast, croissants. Fresh coffee and the ladies serving were so nice. Reception were hit and miss depending on which one you got. Overall fairly helpful. Check in check out good. Room was fairly small...

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
