Just returned from Rome last week and my boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay at the Sofitel. We stayed a week at the Sofitel and enjoyed our spacious very clean room. The hotel is located in a quiet area that is hidden away from tourists. There are tons of coffee shops and restaurants in the area. And of course,...

Just left Roma and the Sofitel 2 days ago, and it was tough to leave them both. I really don't have a lot to add to others' raves (wonderful is wonderful), but nevertheless I will add my two cents. We had a beautiful, large, CLEAN room. The bed was super comfortable. We were a little concerned when we saw that...

The Sofitel is a beautiful hotel located near the Villa Borghese and Via Veneto. The lobby is elegant and understated, and the staff is professional and accomodating. We arrived at around 9:30 a.m. after a long flight from Denver. Unfortunately, since we arrived so early, our room wasn't available. We used the restroom to freshen up as much as we...

We stayed three nights at the Sofitel, which is in the Villa Borghese/Via Veneto area of Rome. Upon arrival at this lovely, elegant hotel, we were warmly greeted by all the staff. Our room was fantastic. The location was nice and quiet at night and the staff were excellent in anticipating and fulfilling our requests. We have absolutely no complaints...

This one is a real gem in the Sofitel chain. They have everything we really need. The location is terrific, the staff are firiendly and helpful and the rooms are second to none. It is clean and well kept. We like the Sofitel chain and the high standards of service and quality associated with this brand.

The hotel is in a relatively quiet area off the top of the Via Venato up from Barbarini Square. It is a clean comfortable hotel with very friendly professional staff who make you feel welcome. The room we had was very large with a sitting room separate from the bedroom with a large marble bathroom as well. The room that...

We stayed for 4 nights in this hotel in mid-September. The weather was fantastic and the hotel is perfectly positioned to walk to most of the main sites, the Spanish Steps being only 5 minutes walk away and Trevi fountain being only 20 minutes. We also walked back from the Colosseum which was no problem for us but do be...

Located in a rather quiet, slightly out of the way neighbourhood, but an easy walk to key attractions like The Spanish Steps, this is a lovely hotel. Rooms are very comfortable (though could use a little maintenance - peeling paint etc) with those Sofitel beds which truely are amazing. Very helpful and friendly staff. The rooftop terrace bar is the...

We had pre-arranged and confirmed by email an airport transfer to the Sofitel Hotel. After a very long day of traveling from Canada we were left waiting at the airport. We ended up asking one of the local Limo drivers to call for us the Hotel asking where our ride was. The reply was "please take a taxi as we...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
