we (my wife, our son and me) had a nice room which was clean, Internet was ok. The location from the hotel for us was perfect as we had a wonderful view from the roof terrace. We could walk to the shopping road "via del...More
This hotel is not your typical Sofitel. It is quite small and has one lovely restaurant/bar which is not always open so it feels more like a boutique hotel than a global chain. For me that’s a positive, though a small second bar area in...More

Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese is like a second home for me, as I never miss the chance to stay at this beautiful hotel every time I am in Rome.

Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to
Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.

Hello, you don't need to be a guess in the hotel to access the Rooftop Bar but I would suggest you to check at the reception if there is place available. The view is fantastic and the cocktails are great so it might be busy.
