Lovely, first class hotel in a wonderful part of Rome! We walked to several must-see spots, and took short taxi rides to others. We booked a room with a huge terrace, which was so nice. Everything from the staff to the breakfast in the charming dining room was excellent!
The hotel was amazing. Its is a mini museum in and of itself. We arrived as part of a pre-cruise trip and wanted to sight see, and rest after our flight. Unfortunately, as I was unloading from our ride over, I was "bumped" and had my cell phone lifted from my back pocket. Although I was able to delete my cell of all its data, so to went all of my trip details. Hearing this, the hotel staff went above and beyond in helping me replan my three days in Rome, ensuring my dining reservations were in order and side trips were successful. The concierge made dining reservations for our last night, but upon hearing of a taxi strike starting that day, made sure the hotel limo service was available at no cost to take my family and retrieve us from our amazing dinner. This hotel is an amazing place, located in an elegant area, staffed with professional and caring people.. thank you Grand hotel!!…
We were recently visiting Rome, Italy. We stayed in the Grand Hotel Palace in Rome. The day before we were expected to leave my husband and I tested positive for COVID and were under quarantine for 5 days prior to be able to test again and fly home. The staff at the Grand Hotel Palace were outstanding. They couldn't do enough to make a bad situation the best that they possibly could. We weren't feeling well and they went out of the way to make sure we had eveything we needed. They even made sure we had fresh squeezed orange juice twice a day. They delivered food and it was always delicious, hot and sent to our room quickly. They went out of their way to cater to our tastes and prepare what we felt like eating, since our tastes had changed with COVID. The front desk staff were amazing, helping us with any paperwork needed for insurance company, even picking up prescription refills for my husband after a Doctor from Spain was able to have them refilled for us. They even charged the prescriptions to our room since the pharmacy wouldn't accept credit cards over the phone. They made sure we always had clean bedding, towels and anything we needed to make us feel better. There is no place like home especially when you are ill. But the Grand Hotel Palace in Rome was the next best thing! Our sincere thanks and appreciation to Maria, Paolo, Matteo, Roberto, Mirno, Giulia and everyone else who made a bad situation so much better. We wouldn't even think of staying anywhere but the Grand Hotel Palace next time we are in Rome. We are feeling better and home safely. Thank you again!…
As a hotel executive for over 30 years, I feel most qualified to offer this review but am also highly selective in doing so. My son and his new bride and much of the wedding party just enjoyed a stay and catered functions at the Grand Hotel Palace, which will never be forotten. Every detail was attended to, and never in my 40+ years of staying in hotels have I witnessed such a passion for service on behalf of the staff. From Walter the GM, to Ylenia in sales/catering, Giulia at reception, Chef Sara, Maitre Amat, Vlad and a bevy of great servers, and a fantastic housekeeping/maitenace and bell staff- enjoy a stay at this hotel and you will truly be made to feel at home. This hotel and it's staff may be summarized in a single phrase- la perfezione!
Great hotel and wonderful location on via Veneto!! Close to Spanish steps and Borghese gardens. Rooms were great snd our view and balcony was amazing! The breakfast was not great but so many local places to visit instead. I V would definitely return!
The service was excellent, the hotel was immaculately clean, the staff went above and beyond to assist us l cannot fault this hotel at all it was a gem of a find. l will be staying here again when next in Rome. The breakfast was also perfect a great start to the day.
Our second visit- such an accommodating staff with a perfect location. You will feel well taken care of from the minute you arrive. I especially appreciated Giulia Leone at the front desk- she was wonderful- always providing wonderful service with such a caring approach!
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. I'm accustomed to online photos being a bit deceiving, but that was not the case with this hotel. Our room was immaculate, very spacious and beautifully appointed (though the chair wasn't all that comfortable - but it was cute!). The bathroom was roomy with a great walk in shower. As an American, it's odd to go to the breakfast buffet and not serve yourself, but we appreciated that staff filled your plate (at your request) due to covid. There were plenty of options - scrambled eggs and bacon, roasted vegetables, cheeses, hams, some fruits and pastry. We liked the location - it was an easy walk to places such as the Trevari Fountain and the Borghese Museum - and the street was quiet at night. The service in the hotel was outstanding. Although we like to try new things, it would be hard to not stay at this hotel on a return visit because it was such a nice, relaxing stay.…
Almost an excellent, but our other Rome hotel was so outstanding it is hard to judge. This hotel is very good with decent service and a nice breakfast room. Breakfast was a modified buffet due to Covid and the food was good. Room was good with a nice bathtub and a view of the street across to the US Embassy. Very quiet with little street noise even though on the via Veneto.
Both the hotel, the service, the room and the surrounding are 5 stars. specieally the receoption adn the consierge service is on their toes around the clock. we stayed for 4 nights and used the consierge service to recommend restaurants as well as walking routes around the city. we also used the transfer service to the airport, which was very plessant
