Stayed the end of March 2017 for 3 nights. Location was decent but rooms very average at best and hotel decor was tatty in places and needs renovation. The lifts are very poor and exceptionally slow. Breakfast was probably the worst experience I have had in this grade of hotel. The breakfast room is in the basement with no natural...

We spent 4 nights here in a double room on the 5th floor. Room was lovely with tea tray (not standard issue in Italy) and good array of toiletries in the bathroom. All staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is in a beautifully painted room downstairs and offers a good range of hot food, cold meats and cheese, fruit, make...

Centrally located great for walking access to all major sights in Rome. My Italian is limited but the staff spoke excellent English. Clean and welcoming reception and lounge area. We were given a choice of 3rd floor or 6th floor room and opted for 6th even though we were told it was close to the roof top bar. However, I...

Fantastic location for seeing all the sights in Rome. Stayed for 7nights, which was really to long, max days you need to do the sights at your leisure is 5 days. Great breakfast, plenty of choice ( fruit, yogurts, toast, pancakes, pastries, ham, cheese, eggs etc... ) Rooms spacious and really clean. No Iron in room, but did have hair...

Just a short walk from the Metro which takes you wherever you need to go. Front of House very helpful and polite, breakfast great fills you up for the day if necessary! Not as opulent as I was expecting bearing in mind its the Savoy - not a patch on its London Hotel, but still a beautiful hotel, the roof...

Recently had a fantastic trip to Rome. Stayed at the Savoy hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel was very pretty, lovely décor and clean albeit the lifts wanting some all round work! This hotel has a great roof top bar, great views and evening drinks. Breakfast buffet was ok. The rooms are very well equipped and very nicely decorated...

Had a fantastic stay recently at the Savoy. Incredibly friendly staff on the front desk and throughout (breakfast/room service etc) who couldn't do enough to help you out. The room was very spacious and had a window which allowed us some fresh air which was lovely. Breakfast was plentiful and had more than sufficient to get our day started. Thoroughly...

We were met by very friendly receptionists who helped us find and book a restaurant nearby whilst we waited for our room to be ready. The room was fine. Nothing out of the ordinary for a 4* hotel. The location is good and it's very easy to walk from it to the main tourist spots. We had dinner one evening...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.

“Wouldn't want a room on the front of the hotel again as outside although convenient there is a taxi point which ran through the evening and some drivers were inconsiderate in terms of noise especially as we needed the windows open as the weather was very mild during the night and we were on the first floor. ”

“We were located in room 212, very comfortable and quite. However the bathroom was a bit small, my husband is over 6ft 2" and found it hard to get around and out of the bath/shower”
