The reception and lounge are very grand, but no drinks or food served? Once you go past reception, you start to notice the not so grand areas, as in the rest of the hotel !! Many areas of tiles on the floor and stairs are broken and should be repaired Rooms are very dated and grubby in areas. Bed to firm , wardrobe door didn't shut properly and kept opening. The bathroom extractor was not working, the tap whistles and the hairdryer is useless, but they got a reteactable washing line ? The side tables are so away from the bed you have to get out or lean over to the point it is no longer convenient... The bar was so small and the only seating area were dining table and chairs so not quite a relaxing area. Outside the roof terrace was lovely with garden furniture. But they did have heaters. If you wanted a glass of wine, you have a choice of house red or house white !!!! That's your choice lol. I unless you order a bottle then you still only have a few at most !! Very disappointed in the bar and the staff seem to like a chat !! Housekeeping were very helpful and the room was very clean. The reception staff it is sad to say we're very disappointing. I have an email confirmation from the hotel with reference to a cake being organised for a Special Occasion and all I had to do was pay when I got there. Upon arrival they said I had to book. I confirmed I had recieved emails to show this. They tried to call the kitchen or see if there was anything else they could organise but aparantly not as it was from an outside contractor ? They offered wine but as per my emails my husband does not drink wine !! The reception staff then asked me to come down in the morning and for me to ask ask the new shift if reception staff if they could help !! Is that not the sort of thing passed over on a handover ? Again it felt like it was to much trouble for them. Needless to say I didn't ask as it was very apparent they were not interested but their loss as I did not spend the money on the cake they were meant to be organising. On checkout they they just took payment, didn't ask how it was, did we enjoy our stay or anything !!! Clearly not interested and if I were to be honest I would not stay there again.…
If you are in rome for business and leisure, them Hotel Savoy is a great place fot leisure and business. Rooms are copnact but cosy. Hotel service is friendly. Breakfast was pretty good to with fresh baked sweet Italian croissants and cake.
The hotel was welcoming. Upgraded me to a bigger room at no cost. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Great bathroom area. The breakfast set up offered al ot of food and choices. Room service food was very good as well.Only suggestion is to offer a 18 hour room service for food, including snacks and lunch.
Spent 4 nights here between Christmas and New Year for my birthday and it was lovely. Breakfast was included and they even wished me a happy birthday on the morning of my birthday which was nice. The hotel was in a great location for us and I would highly recommend staying here. Great location for the Spanish steps (10 min walk) and the Cappuchin crypt is just down the road.
· The kindness and quality of the breakfast staff. Disliked · The lack of enthusiasm of the reception team to meet customer expectations. Under the pretext that the hotel being full (we of the 1st) no possibility to change room. Just change of bedding from two beds to one bed. Dark room on the 1st floor in front of the elevator in need of renovation.. Great disappointment for a romantic weekend. Fortunately Rome is still beautiful.
We had a 3 day break in December to celebrate my 70th birthday. On arrival we found the it to be a beautiful, classical hotel with extremely professional and courteous staff. The hotel was immaculate, the rooms were cleaned beautifully daily. Our negative comments concern the food and supplies of beverages in our room. The range of food available at breakfast was superb. The problem was that the ’hot food’ was not hot …. Mainly lukewarm. I am referring to the scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon. The toaster was extremely slow and a number of guests were complaining. We tried your Terrace Restaurant on two occasions but were not impressed by the food at all … it was not the quality we would expect from a 4* hotel! I had a chicken pasta dish which was cold in part. It seemed as if someone had microwaved the dish and had not checked the temperature of the dish with a thermometer. Very disappointing and we complained. Our second visit was poor also. We had the steak which was very average and tasteless. It was served with crisps and not fries. A very poor steak meal. We complained about the crisps and were told it was always served like this. The small supply of teabags/milk cartons and paper cups in our room was poor. We had to ring Reception and ask for more teabags and milks and also china mugs for the hot drinks. We were very surprised that paper cups were issued for hot drinks in a 4* hotel. Overall, a beautifully immaculate hotel with excellent staff. However, improvement should be made in the bedrooms to tea/coffee supplies and china cups to replace paper ones. Regards Lynda Smith…

Excelelent, excellent! The Concierge staff was totally amazing, helpful and patient with our continued questitons and requests. The breakfast buffet which was included was superb -- a great variety of breakfast delights. Unfortunately due to weather and previous bookings we were unable to utilize the bar on the top level. Next time for that. There will definitely be a next time. A huge thank you to Vito for responding in a timely manner to my many questions via email.
Special thanks to the staff in the rooftop restaurant/bar, always always friendly and client orientated. The same for the staff in the breakfast room! Particular compliments to Sylvia who has exceptional kindness, smile, and service!!! At The reception desk, it would be nice if at least they would greet the clients! They give a cold feeling, lmost not interested. Cleaning staff perfect and friendly.
Great location. Wonderful staff. Yummy breakfast. Scenic Bar. Excellent room. Lovely city. Wish I could stay a month. Didn't realize that there was a minimum character requirement so made it to the point. Overall, the trip and accommodations were fantastic.
