Our family of five adults and a toddler recently had a most pleasant stay in this very centrally situated hotel. Booking in and out was painless as they had all our details. The staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable, our rooms were clean, cool, well appointed and well serviced and any special requests we had...

Our reservations were not maintained and after a long day traveling we were sent to a nearby hotel accompanied by a busboy. The other hotel was noisy at night. The following day we stayed at the Palladium and all was fine. After a cruise, we came back to the same place and we were asked for a credit card "as...

First, why is this rated a 4 star property? it was not even a 3 star hotel. Rooms were small. With luggage bags, hardly any walking space left in the room. Secondly, the breakfast had very limited options. Third, be cautious of security at night. There could be thieves & robbers just outside the hotel. We had one encounter and...

This hotel is near the train station. I arrived late night by train from the airport and having slept the whole way wasn't tired. I asked to use fitness center gym and it was not a problem. I'm not sure why they don't just leave it unlocked. My friend and I slept great on the 2 twins (European hotels don't...

I traveled to Rome with two friends but the main purpose of our trip was to spend a week at a villa in Tuscany for a cooking school. We had a nonstop from the US to Rome so we opted to stay there for two days to see the city. The hotel was located within a couple of blocks from...

Enjoyed stay here. Had 4 in a room and it worked out fine as room was quite large for a city. Close to train station, easy walk.

Arrived unexpectedly - our other hotel booking fell through. They had a room available and the Reception staff were fantastic. They helped us with everything. Rooms were big and had everything we needed. Breakfast was brilliant on the terrace - we would go back definitely.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The hotel's elegant interiors, attended to in their every detail and made precious by the courteous and professional ambience provided by its staff, make of the Hotel Palladium Palace one of the most successful 4 star hotels in Rome. A magnificent late 19th century edifice houses the hotel's interiors, with its (24 hr) reception adorned in classic noble wood furnishings coordinated with marble. The common areas in the Hotel Palladium Palace are embellished with sophisticated and refined details, such as findings of ancient fragments of marble friezes. The hotel's guests have access to the lobby and TV room, the bar (always open), and the breakfast hall with its American style buffet (serving sweet and savory offerings). The gym features a sauna, a rarity for a 4 star hotel in Rome, and an ideal choice for those who want to keep fit during their vacation or business trip in a hotel in Rome. The Hotel Palladium Palace's most spectacular feature is its rooftop, with a panoramic terrace on the last floor of the building, overlooking the rooftops and cupolas of Rome, where the hotel's guests can enjoy the privilege of having breakfast or spending relaxing moments in good company. ... more   less
