Central location and the breakfast was great. Rooms were extremly well presented and was easy to ask staff for adivce and any other questions regarding places to visit in Rome. Not enough can be said abotu how fantastic the location is. Easy walk into Rome and coffee shops and art galleries.

The quick: Fantastic location close to the tren termini, devoted costumer service, extremely clean and comfy beds, with a new bathroom plus AC. Perfect for a good nights sleep with traveling in the morning. The long of it: Our flight arrived two hours late to Roma. Then we waited for our bags, e una sorpresa, the tren from Fiucimi stops...

After searching for cheap hostels and accommodation in Rome we stumbled across this little gem. The central location meant everything we needed was within walking distance. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the daily breakfast was an added bonus. As for the room, it was extremely clean with a comfortable bed, air conditioning, fridge, TV, safe and what...

Location is spot on, right in the centre of everything and literally a 5 minute walk from Rome Termini. Our room was clean, air conditioned (a necessity in +37) and comfortable. Giorgio our host was also amazing we loved him!

The Place is everything it claims to be. First, it has location, location, and location. It is situated within walking distance of the Colisseum and the Old Appian Way. Moreover, my daughter and I found that, for the economy-minded, it was the perfect place to return to, after a day of touring: You can cook your own meals (all the...

Super friendly and informative staff! The restaurants and gelateria that they recommended nearby are wonderful. Our rooms were nice and clean. The location is great-within walking distance of some major attractions. Would definitely recommend to friends.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Place in Rome. James and the staff were exceptionally friendly and hospitable. James helped us by showing us the easiest way to navigate the city and showed us where to go on a helpful map. We were also very pleased when James helped us carry our heavy bags to our room (as there...

This is more of a guest house than a hotel, but it's a good location, a little difficult to find though. The staff are very nice and the rooms are immaculate, cleaned every day with fresh towels provided. The breakfast was nice too, pastries, yogurt, juice and coffee. The room had a TV but no batteries in the remote so...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
