Neighbourhood
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.

The main strength of the hotel is without doubt its staff! Otherwise as many have stated a little tired & in need of investment. Such a shame to think you need to retain quality historic bathrooms - when most of us have upgraded at home....More

Not what we have experienced in Italy for this level hotel. Staff was helpful, and location was great, but otherwise not a place I could truly recommend. The shower door (?) would not close tight, so we had water on the floor after every shower.More

Apart from the obvious sites in the center of Rome, try the catacombs or the tomb of Cecilia Matello if the weather is good it is well worth a walk along the Appia Antica.
