Lovely hotel in excellent location, surrounded by many restaurants and bars, also within walking distance to all touristy locations. Staff at reception and breakfast were lovely. My only criticism - there was no hair dryer and iron in the room.
Hotel Lunetta is a small, charming hotel in the center of Rome, walkable to many popular ancient sites including the magnificent Piazza Navona. The historic building has been tastefully updated with unique rooms, spacious bathrooms, and inviting common areas. Room sizes vary. The hotel has many amenities including breakfast, coffees, and drinks within the hotel, as well as a spa in the lower level. The immediate area has many food options and shops including an open air market at Campo de' Fiori, just steps away. The professional staff is kind and helpful. We had assistance prior to arrival and after check-in with transportation reservations from the cruise port and to the airport, a suggested walking path, tour vendors, and pharmacy location for a preflight Covid test. We hope to return to Hotel Lunetta in the future for our second visit to Rome.…
The location of the hotel is fantastically central. Walkable to all main locations in central Rome. Many restaurants in the surroundings and hardly any traffic from the main roads. Friendly staff upon reception hosting our luggage since we arrived early. The room was very clean and modern with a large modern bathroom. Breakfast was included in the rate and was a good range of fresh food. Would definitely recommend and return should I travel back to Rome.
We arrived at the end of February for a girls weekend away. Upon arrival, our room was very kindly upgraded to a Junior suite, which was beautiful, and the reception staff were very friendly. Breakfast is included and it was a nice buffet of food. Might be nice to have different music playing compared to the spa relaxing songs which some may like. Some of the breakfast staff were lovely, some very frosty. The only thing I’d say about breakfast is the staff don’t take your plates away as you go and with the tables being a little small, it can get tricky to manoeuvre all the items! The location is just perfect. There’s a beautiful square just a street down from the hotel with a wide range of restaurants and bars, very well priced. You can walk almost anywhere from the hotel which is great to have. The Spa was fantastic too. You have a steam room, sauna and the jacuzzi/swimming pool. It’s free access but you do have to book a time slot and they always have availability. When we returned to the standard double room for our last night, we did find the room was smaller than expected (obvious considering we’d just spent two nights in a suite!) and there were items that needed to be looked at. Sockets coming away from the wall, not all the lights worked, but it was only one night after all. We checked out very easily and the hotel arranged a taxi back to the airport for us. Overall, we were pleased with the food, breakfast and modern design of the hotel and would love to return when we’re next in Rome.…
We booked the Hotel Lunetta for our City Break in Rome based on the previous reviews and because of its location. We were not disappointed, the hotel is on a quiet street and surrounded by restaurants and cafes. It is within easy walking distance to the main tourist attractions. Importantly the hotel was spotlessly clean. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and any time we required information or assistance they were only too happy to assist. The breakfast was lovely and the waitresses excellent including providing me with a birthday cake on the morning of my birthday. The rooftop bar wasn’t open when we were there but we still sat out in the sun and relaxed after visiting the many beautiful attractions Rome has in abundance. Unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to use the spa facilities at the hotel but they looked amazing. If we are fortunate enough to visit Rome in the future I will definitely book this Hotel.…
This Hotel is beautifully niche and cared for by all who work there. The person who trains the staff needs a pat on the back for getting such a happy and mindful set of people, not one dissenter !The breakfast is good the coffee is excellent, the place is spotless with a nice little relaxing Spa area.
I book this hotel based on the reviews. Totally satisfied from the time I made my booking still the day we check out. Hotel was booked to celebrate my friends Birthday. We live outside Rome and wanted to spend 2 days visiiting Rome and enjoying the city. Location SUPER. Everything is walking distance. You are right in the middle of the city but you do not hear the noise of the city. Not a big hotel. Room was small for my liking but bathroom was huge. Breakfast was adquet with cold/hot dishes. Hotel staff was friendly. There is also a small SPA which was really nice after a long day walking. Really happy with our stay. Only set back is room temperature was very warm. Control centralized so there was nothing we could do but to leave the windows open.
Stayed here during a week of extraordinary weather (for January). Coming from the USA as vaccinated, pre-flight Covid-tested tourists with a suitcase full of masks we entered the new world of Covid restrictions in Italy which its government has imposed to contain Omicron’s spread. Mask wearing outdoors and indoors was enforced during this visit and truthfully it is not much fun outdoors, but we knew it would be required. This hotel, its amenities, personnel and location made the restrictions much, much more bearable. The room was very clean and towels were abundant. You are steps away from the busy market and restaurant activities of the Campo de Fiori and only a few more from the Piazza Navona. Access to the Trastevere zone across the river is also quick. The front staff (all multi lingual and very courteous) patiently suffered our desire to practice our Italian, accommodated (by opening the front doors) our habit of early rising for walks around the neighborhood well before the hotel’s own lovely breakfast buffet opened at 7. (Many nearby bars open early for coffee, serving the market personnel who arrive pre-dawn to set up their tents.) The hotel even arranged for the return (via express mail service) of an item left behind upon our departure. We took advantage of the car airport pickup service as well. The interior hotel staff were equally hospitable, sometimes invisible but always working to make our stay comfortable. Everything seemed to run like clockwork and quietly, which is a real plus in any hotel. Highly recommend and will return the next possible time. (Not to be forgotten is the sister hotel Martis Palace, which was briefly closed at the time of our trip.)…
Rooms are nice & location is good but terrible customer service. the spa ruined my nearly new swimwear & the reception staff accused me of lying about its condition prior to entering the spa. They continue to refuse to reimburse me for the damages caused, which are a drop in the ocean for the hotel.
Perfect location, walking distance to all the main attractions. The hotel is immaculately clean, all the staff are so helpful, welcoming and can not do enough to guide and help on a short city trip. Will definitely come back with our family.
