Hotel room was simple, but clean and spacious. The hotel is very well situated for the colosseum and the metro station. Breakfast was varied and good quality. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The piazza where the hotel is located is nice and there are a good amount of restaurants and bars to choose from.

The hotel is in good location, clean and good for its cheap price. But however we had a terrible experience on our last day. We just went to a bar across the hotel for 30 minutes but to our surprise my ipad, iphone and camera were stolen inside our LOCKED room! Its our last day and I just left those...

I love this place.Casa Santa Sofia is in the centre of the beautiful piazza della Madonna... Very central to all the sights. Safe area of Rome. Loads of excellent restaurants , places to eat nearby ... Colosseum and metro to central termini/vatican is a hop skip and a jump . the rooms are straight forward, tidy and simple...No tv which...

An inexpensive option for an excellent central Rome location. Recommended for travellers who just need to spend the night and do not require extra comfort or service. Breakfasts are very simple (pastry, tea/coffee, milk & flakes). Wi-fi quality was not very good both in the room and at the reception/dining area.

Considering the price, it was very good. The only thing is that the "piazza" in front of the rooms is very noisy so consider bring ear plugs. Very near to the Coliseo and other main sites. Also the internet wasnt very fast but still worked fair.

For the price that I paid, I really can't fault this establishment. Facilities were clean and adequate, helpful staff and, as I was traveling alone, I felt very safe here. The location is very central, I visited all the major sites by foot with no problem. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it. P.S. There is some noise...

Decent size room, clean, the shower pressure wasn't great. the breakfast included was a great selection and plenty of it! in a great spot, restaurants everywhere, we could walk to most tourist attractions. we walked from the main train station too in about 15mins. The nuns were friendly too.

Staying at Casa Santa Sofia was one of the most unique and memorable places I've ever stayed in. It was run by nuns and had the feel of a convent, although it is probably run as a guesthouse for travellers. It was lovely to hear the sounds of the nuns singing and the location next to a piazza and close...

Pros: The nuns are very friendly; location is great, the monti area is such a lovely place and the hotel is only few minutes away from the colloseum, also few steps away there are many bars and restaurants plus an underground station. Wifi was good. Cons: Room was very small with almost no space to move; one big disadvantage is...
