Casa Santa Sofia is run by nuns. It is spotlessly clean, the nuns are very friendly. I had a room for one person and it took a while to get used to the narrow bed. My room was on the front bordering the square which is a very lively place until far into the night. But I was tired and...

Six of us stayed here for a week split between single and twin rooms. Although the accommodation is basic, it's also clean and comfortable. And is brilliantly located for sightseeing and good restaurants/cafes. Some may find the location noisy late into the evening and early morning because the nearby fountain area, cafes and bars attract lots of young people. And...

Spent Christmas and New Years at Casa Santa Sofia. Highly recommend it as it's very clean and safe!!! Super location. Will stay again while in Rome! The coffee was really bad, but basic breakfast ok. Doors locked at 11:00 pm but door code provided daily.

This place is a gem. Highly recommended if you want a good base in a great location at an excellent price. Location: 2 minute walk from Cavour Metro station or 10min walk from Roma Termini. Once there, you can see the Colosseum at the end of the street (5min walk) and 5mins in the other direction will have you in...

Well What a great find. Our 5th time to Rome in the last 9 years. The Casa Sophia is the best hotel out of the 5 we have now stayed in And the cheapest too. Couldn't get any closer to the Fountain in the square which is our favourite place on an evening. Lots of bars and fantastic restaurants right...

Just returned from the best weekend with my partner. The hotel was perfect, clean and in a fantastic location. The ladies who ran the hotel were very polite and helpful! We felt very safe and comfortable staying here. The hotel overlooks a small square which can become very lively during the evening which was great for us as we could...

This hotel is run by nuns and is very inexpensive. It really helps to understand basic Italian, because they don't all speak other languages. They will try to be helpful. Rooms are tiny but functional. The location is excellent--near major sights and Metro. The breakfast coffee is the worst you are likely to have in Italy and there is no...

This place is located centrally for easy walking access to major attractions like the Coloseum. it is located on a piazza with access to many restaurants nearby and the neighborhood was very safe. The place was clean, quiet and well maintained. Rooms are spartan - no TV or radio - but the bed was comfortable. Staff was helpful. Did not...

Brilliant location, just a stone's throw from the Colosseum. The room was impeccably clean and breakfast was included in the price. My main gripe was the noise from the corridor; it can a bit irritating if you're a light sleeper. Perhaps they could consider investing in thicker doors.

I have stayed at this property 2x now and it is my favorite go to hotel in Rome. Centrally located in the heart of the city. The Colosso is basically right up the street along with countless places to stop and take in the city. Piazza della Madonna is a very busy place you will find people here at all...
