Stayed in September on our way back from a Cruise . The young lady on reception was wonderful, really helpful, rooms were ready early - always a great bonus and were spotless, although the 3 rooms our group stayed in were all very small but then you don’t go to Rome to stay in your room. The grey decor ( grey walls & wardrobes etc ) may not have helped the feeling of compactness. The rooms were however very very quiet and the wireless phone chargers built into the bedside table was a great idea. The roof terrace is lovely but after 7 in an evening is open to the public and can get very busy along with the restaurant so I would recommend you book . The breakfast was included and simply fabulous with a great choice of hot and cold options - you really couldn’t ask for more . The Hotel is in a great area with many restaurants and bars to choose from. The area itself is one of Romes most affluent areas with high end shops and away from the hustle and bustle of the other parts of Rome . Overall a lovely hotel and certainly one we would return to .

This hotel is the perfect place to stay in this wonderful city for a few days. The hotel is within walking distance of every tourist attraction; it is extremely close to Vatican City and a half-hour walk to the Trevi Fountain. The reception staff were friendly and helpful; our room was located on the ground floor and was the perfect size for a short stay. Beautifully decorated, and modern, with black-out blinds and a comfy double bed. Our room had a rain shower and a light-up makeup mirror.

The reception staff were extremely helpful in showing us how to work the electric blinds in the room and getting us extra hangers on request. We also had breakfast on the top floor every morning; a perfect selection of continental, with pastries, juices, coffees and teas, all with an amazing view of the city. We also had drinks most evenings on the rooftop terrace; incredible views, beautiful cocktails, and an added bonus, complimentary nibbles brought out when you order drinks too! The only 'con' I could think of is the walls are a little thin, and we could hear the people in the room next to us very clearly; however, this didn't bother us as it was mainly in the morning when we were leaving! Reception called a taxi to the airport for us on our last day, which was helpful too.

I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone. Not only is it beautiful, but the location was perfect being as it was slightly quieter, yet a stroll up the street takes you to the main row of designer stores, and lovely restaurants, and if walking, is the perfect distance to all other tourist attractions if you want to explore along the way.

My partner and I stayed here for our short trip to Rome and it was such a perfect hotel! The breakfast was continental and was served within the rooftop bar, it was so lovely overlooking the views first thing in the morning! It is within a short walking distance to the Vatican and located within a charming, calmer neighbourhood. It’s around a 40 minute walk into central Rome (around the Colosseum area) but we really recommend walking it because we passed so many interesting sights and walked through the Villa Borghese on the way! Alternatively you can hop on an e-scooter or bus and get there in no time. The staff at the hotel cannot do enough for you and the room was modern and really clean, special shout out to the window shutters that blocked out all light so you could get a great sleep!
We would definitely stay here on a return visit to Rome, Thanks Orazio Palace!

I booked a 5 night stay in Rome for me and my boyfriend for his birthday, we were so excited for this hotel after reading the reviews and viewing the pictures. The hotel itself was very clean and the staff were all so friendly, can’t fault their customer service as they were so helpful, they even provided us with a private transfer back to the airport for our journey home, the driver was on time and it was a luxury ride for only 60 euros.

The location of the hotel is excellent and most of the sites are walking distance away, however you can hop onto the metro which was very easy to follow and not too expensive. In regards to the breakfast, this wasn’t great at all. Limited choice of hot food and the scrambled egg smelt and tasted off when my boyfriend tried it, therefore we ended up having cereal and croissants every morning which wasn’t ideal or enjoyable, as we would have liked more variety for the price.

We also had a nightmare Friday morning on our last day, we decided to go up for breakfast for 7am on the dot when breakfast is meant to be open, the door was locked until 20 past 7 with other guests also waiting to get through and be seated for breakfast, they apologised however this was very bad organisation and not appreciated when we were in a rush for a flight.

The room was adequately spacious, the images they provide look nothing like the standard double room that we stayed in, they are only advertising their deluxe or more spacious rooms they offer so please bear this in mind when booking.

I will say that the air con was amazing especially in the 39-40 degree heat we were experiencing, so we did appreciate this a lot and the shower was lovely and powerful, no leaking which was good also. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but I will say that the upstairs restaurant lets down the hotel as it is ran separately so that is a great shame.

I stayed here with a tour group for four nights. The room was on the small side, but extremely efficient use of space, so it didn't feel small. I loved the lights and alcoves on both sides of the bed at the head so you could easily read in bed without having to get up to turn off the light. Also, as a personal who really needs glasses to see, I greatly appreciated having my glasses right there at my fingertips when I went to sleep.

Plenty of hot water and toiletries. Bathroom was dark, and several people in our group pulled the emergency cord in the shower thinking it was a light. (It wouldn't really work as an emergency cord either since it was so high that if you slipped in the shower, you would not be able to reach it!) Maybe after our visit, they will label the cords.

The location is central to a lot of things and easy walking distance to the Vatican, but it is on a side street so it was very quiet, except for some noise from a sidewalk cafe across the street. I did not hear noise from other rooms, and the bed was very comfortable, so it is a good location for a good night's sleep.

This was my first time in Rome, and the front desk staff was very helpful in orienting me and giving me advice on where to walk, eat, get coffee, etc.

The restaurant is on the top floor, and although it doesn't have an expansive view, it is quite lovely. The buffet breakfast had a lot of variety. We had dinner there one night, and it was decent.

Elevators are small and slow, and they broke down a couple of times when we were there. The restaurant seemed very popular in the evening, and people tried to squeeze too many people in there. The staff did put up signage alerting people to that fact.

Lobby itself is tiny. There are a couple of rooms off the lobby that we sometimes congregated in, but they were often closed or being used for a meeting.

We thank you for sharing your experience and choosing the Orazio Palace for your stay with the group. We are very careful in reading his thoughts and are happy that you liked the room size and the services offer inside the room, about the white cord inside the shower, that is a Italian law in emergency call, can't be signed, but at check in we inform all our costumers to pull just in emergency. The breakfast on the 7th floor with a lot of choices to get start the day in the beautiful city are very appreciated from our costumers. the roof top for Aperitif allays guaranteed from 5 pm. to 7 pm. with a beautiful view to the eternity antic Rome is our top from Hotel Orazio. About the elevator that are two can be sometimes that it is a waiting time during the rush our how in your case that was a group. We are also happy that our library can be used for some meetings and give allways the possiblity for our costumers the use the roof or the garden. This hotel is fantastic and I would recommend to anyone that’s looking to stay in Rome to consider staying here.

It’s in a central location to all major sights and attractions. Walking takes about 5 / 10 minutes to the Vatican and 15 / 20 to the Coliseum.

I’d personally recommend using the e-scooters to get about though. They’re available to hire through an app on your phone, you can get everywhere very easily and for very cheap compared to taxis and tourist buses. There always seemed to be loads available to use too wherever you are which is great.

The rooms aren’t the biggest in the hotel but they’re designed and decorated beautifully and to a high standard. They’re very modern with all the features you’d expect to find in a city hotel.

The breakfasts available with the room are delicious, there’s always a great selection and it’s well maintained by the staff who are very accommodating. The drink selection in the bar is great too.

The staff on the front desk are very helpful and very friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them and they even had some great advice about seeing the sights of the city.

The best point for me though, and the real selling point is the roof top terrace. The view up here is unbelievable and the sunrises / sunsets provided overlooking the city are something else. It turned out to be a great place to propose! Even if you don’t end up staying here I’d still recommend visiting the hotels roof top bar for a drink or some food.

I highly recommend here and would definitely stay again.

Very modern hotel located approximately 15 minutes walk to Vatican city and around 20 minutes walk to Spanish steps, nice continental breakfast served daily on 7th floor. Area seems very safe to walk around at night with a 10 minute walk to nearest hop on/off bus stop. The standard room is slightly on the small size but practical for your needs with a large modern bathroom complete with walk-in shower and toiletries. A mini bar is provided with chargeable drinks, and a hairdryer was located in the wardrobe. The rooftop bar seemed quiet, but we visited a local bar ( morrisons ) a few streets behind the hotel, which had outdoor seating.
My only complaint is that the tv didn't have any English channels or instructions if there were any.
We used the SIT shuttle bus from the airport ( terminal 3 stop 12) at a cost of 15€pp return . This stops at the Vatican ( then continues to Termini ). You can get off and walk 5 minutes to the hotel from here and also catch the return shuttle from the same location ( opposite side of road). The shuttle is around every 1/2 hours, and staff are present to advise.

Very welcoming, friendly and professional reception staff. Some of the staff serving breakfast could take a leaf out of their book. Most were quite miserable. Breakfast could also be more varied and the toaster has seen better days. We enjoyed the coffee and fresh fruit salad though. The location of the hotel is good in terms of eateries, bars and proximity to the Vatican. The interior decor of the hotel is modern which we liked and the room was clean with enough space and storage for our 5 day stay. We didn’t really take advantage of the rooftop terrace or the downstairs bar(which was always empty) as on closer inspection the prices of drinks were inflated. The hotel’s atmosphere would be better if guests were encouraged to have a drink there by more realistic pricing. On the whole, a pleasant stay.

We were extremely pleased with our choice of hotel and its location in the Prati district near to Vatican City.

We travelled into Rome from Fiumicino via bus and our stop was a two minute walk to the hotel which was very easy to find. The hotel itself was modern throughout, very clean, had a powerful shower and good air conditioning and had the added bonus of an automatic blackout blind. There was ample room for our clothes for our 3 night stay. The only (very) minor improvement I'd suggest would be slightly more powerful lighting as the main room was a little dark when getting ready for going out on an evening.

We loved the breakfasts as the choice and freshness of the food options was fantastic and we left each day well fuelled for our ventures into the city. Unfortunately, we got back to the hotel late each day we were there so didn't manage to fit in a visit to the roof top bar.

Location wise, there are numerous restaurants and bars close by in the area around the hotel and we enjoyed some lovely meals on an evening. There is also a very nice shopping area close to the hotel with an excellent variety of shops. The Vatican City museums and St. Peters Basilica and square are an easy 10 - 15 min walk away and the other attractions in central Rome itself are all within walking distance, the colosseum being the furthest and taking around 45 mins. We'd suggest you get a map from the hotel as these are a big help especially if your phone battery runs out !!.

All staff in the hotel were polite, courteous and helpful, the lady on the reception in the morning and afternoon was an absolute star in answering any questions we had and offering advice.

Give this hotel a try. You won't be disappointed.
