We just loved this hotel. Such personable staff (Alessandro, Roberta and Larissa especially). All the amenities desired in spacious rooms. Modern bathrooms, turndown service. We started our vacation here and ended here before we flew out. Staff welcomed us back. Excellent breakfast. Not super convenient to sights but we walked to all places vs cabs so it is doable. Terrace...

We were greeted by the wonderful receptionist (wish I could remember her name) and after informing her were recently married she immediately upgraded our room to a suit! Also sent up champagne for us! Quiet location but walking distance to a lot. Great gelato shop down the block called La Romano. Gorgeous room. The receptionist is very helpful, cabs arrive...

Location is very good. The personal are just so kind and helpful. We arrived earlier but had our room cleaned and checked in earlier which was very appreciated after long trip. Room-service is good. Liked everything. We would definitely stay here in or next visit to Rome.

We stayed at the Hotel Dei Mellini for 3 nights while in Rome. The location is great - on a side street, but walking distance to many things. The staff is very nice, accommodating and friendly. They consistently gave us directions and showed us on maps how to get to places and provided good recommendations for restaurants and other things....

Very nice hotel. Well situated for a city trip in Rome. Room was renovated without losing the historical charm. Would go back there anytime. One draw back was that there was a slight smell of smoking in the room else it would have received full score. Free wifi everywhere but pretty slow, so don't expect to use Netflix....

Lovely Hotel! Very central , within a short walk to the River Tiber & many attractions. Requested a higher floor & got a very spacious top floor room with two small balconies. Hotel spotlessly clean & staff very helpful. Would return!

Our second time in Rome and I didn't want to rush round all the things to see or do. So with some comfy shoes me and the 'sainted' Mrs Benson by my side we set out for coffee, ice cream, pizza & pasta shops and sites and was delighted. The hotel staff made us very welcome and the room was...

My wife and twelve year old son stayed in one of the hotel suites for 5 nights. Suite has a king bed in the main bedroom and a sleeper sofa in the living room. Two bathrooms. Plenty of room for the three of us plus it was very nice to sit outside on the 6th floor terrace. Breakfast every morning...

My wife and I did a tour of Italy and stayed at Hotel Dei Mellini for two nights. The hotel was fairly centrally located and we were able to walk to most of the tourist attractions. Furthest was the coliseum (about 45mins walk) and we took a cab. The staff were very friendly and helpful to all of our needs....

My wife and I had a good time at the Dei Mellini. The pros are: The attention from all personal was good, room of good size, comfortable bed, room service was fast and tasted good, breakfast with not so many options but it was good, luggage storage after check-out, you are at the Vatican in 15min walking along the Tiber...

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
