Close to Termini, but located in more lovely area to walk in a night time. Clean, rooms are spacious and you get free lock. Huge and clean bathroom.
No problems with early check in and night leave.
Perfect for a longer stay.
You can walk from Termini Railway Station and navigate the small alleys to reach this hostel. It is quite easy to find and there are a lot of shops around to buy daily necessities or to have decent dinner or lunch. The hostel situated on...More
We came to this hostel immediately after checking out of another hostel which we'd had a terrible experience at. The rooms were big and spacious, the bathrooms were very clean and the showers were good (not the best water pressure but definitely decent). Staff were...More

Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up
basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

The Ciampino Airport is kind of far from the center of Rome, so you can take a Cotral/Schiaffini bus from the airport to get to the Ciampino Train Station. From there you should be able to take a train and get to Rome Termini which is only few blocks away from the hostel (Via Castelfidardo). The hostel is in front of the Il Papavero Hotel, but you'll have to go there first to check-in and then move on to the Papaya Hostel. Hope it helps!
