We stayed at the Hotel Genova after my partners parents had stayed there last last year on heir visits to Rome and it didn't disappoint. The hotel is located extremely close to Rome's main train station (which if you are coming in from the airport there is a train that goes there) Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was...

Location is quite close to termini which is good. But the hotel itself don't offer anything than just a noisy room. No bath tub, no iron in the room, no complimentary water provided, no kettle. Expect just a room with a bed. Breakfast is very low standard.

This hotel is a 5 minute walk from the train station, which was perfect for our 1 night stay at this hotel. Easy to walk to with luggage and the hotel has a very appealing look. The room is perfect for what you need for your stay. We arrived before check in and they hold your luggage in a locked...

The location is decent and great if you need to be close to the train station -- it was very convenient as we ended up taking taxi's to most places and we just walked to the train stations Taxi line. My cousin and I arrived at the hotel before 1 pm and luckily our room was ready and we were...

We were there for 3 nights on a tour with Gate 1 (9 day classic Italy). The rooms were clean. Hardwood floors in the rooms and marble floors in the bathrooms. Now the rooms weren't large but if one doesn't have too many suitcases then it is ample. The staff very friendly and will willingly keep your luggage till the...

We stayed 3 nights and had two rooms. The rooms are small but very clean. Breakfast buffet is very good. Staff are very helpful and helped us with all our queries considering we had never been to Italy before.

This hotel has nice clean rooms and a helpful friendly staff. The breakfast buffet is not elaborate, but very good. I liked the location. There are quite a few good places to eat within walking distance.

We stayed for 3 nights with two kids, we have reserved the quadruple room. All rooms have no balcony and relatively tight. The hotel is located near the center, the service is very good but they are poor in recommendations in regards of good restaurants and places to go. If you are seeking a place just to sleep this hotel...

The hotel is 2 minutes from the Termini, so great if you need to catch a bus, tram, metro or train anywhere. We booked a double with breakfast included, and when we arrived we asked for a twin room. After checking, they had one so they asked us to wait 2 hours whilst they sorted the room out. No problem,...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
