The location of this hotel is very convenient in order to visit all the important sights of Rome. The breakfast is served in a beautiful room with a spectacular view to Rome. The rooms are are not renovated but we did not care about that as we returned to the hotel late at night. It is a good choice especially... More

I recently booked this Hotel for one night while I was in transit in Rome. The price seemed right and the location is truly very good. But it was a disappointment. The room was very old and smelled like it...it remind me of the first time I visited Rome as a student many, many years ago...the place needs a refurbishment!... More

We went to Rome and stayed at the Eliseo hotel. We felt it could do with an update, the hotel is looking a tiered. Our fridge hadn't been replenshed with water and when asking for some from the reception we were told that he couldn't get any as he was on his own and this was only at 21.00. Breakfast... More

It's not fantastic tucked away from the bustling city. About 10 mins walk from the Spanish Steps. Room was reasonably big but toilet not too clean. Front office service in the morning was helpful but the night person had attitude problem! 🙄

The Hotel Eliseo is within easy reach of the Spanish Steps and the Metro. It overlooks the beautiful Burghese Gardens. It is a large hotel; the rooms were traditionally decorated and a little somber, but were clean and perfectly adequate. Breakfast was served on the top floor with views over the park. The breakfast was adequate but we would rather... More

Booked a twin room, when we arrive they only had doubles, so it pays to check before you arrive, if you did not book directly with the chain. Breakfast okay, getting coffee is slow. Large lobby and an "American bar" stocked but never open ! So there is nothing to do if you get back to the hotel and don't... More

Nice hotel in good location, close to Spanish Steps, taxis, restaurants, shopping. Room was clean, well appointed, and quiet. Staff was aloof compared to the effusive warmth of the Tuscan people, but helpful when asked for information. I often felt I was imposing when asking questions. Bar never open but obtained a corkscrew from desk to open our own wine.... More

We stayed a the Eliseo for 3 nights in early Sept. It is well located -about a 15-20 minute walk to the Spanish Steps; 15 minutes from the Villa Borghese Museum and 20 minutes or so from the Trevi Fountiain. Our room was larger than expected, clean and breakfast was quite good with a wide variety -complete with a terrific... More

On arrival we were greeted at reception by a very nice man who was always happy to chat and order taxis for us throughout our stay. There was a large lobby and seating area with bar. Our rooms were clean and spacious with a double bed, enough wardrobe space, a chest of drawers with television on it and chairs. The... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
