Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Hotel Barocco is wonderful boutique hotel in the heart of Rome. There is no way you can find a better location! The staff is top notch especially Daniele, Diego, Fabio, Valerio, Giorgia, Stefano and Elisabetta. Together they create a family atmosphere that is the essence of true hospitality. The hotel is maintained in a sparkling clean manner, with a wonderful breakfast offering and the overall service is friendly and efficient. When in Rome stay at the Barocco. You will not be disappointed!

Location is excellent, although the entrance is on the side street . Throughout our 3 nights stay , the services provided by the reception cum concierge ( especially Daniel) was outstanding , from bookings and recommending great restaurants , booking our Covid PCR test and even providing What’sApp services with prompt reply to our all requests. Breakfast selection were superb with wonderful services. The room was bright and clean with very comfortable bed ! Highly recommended !

My family of four and I just returned from our 10 day Rome vacation. The Hotel Barocco was part of the reason for the great memories. The staff were amazing and always willing to assist with booking reservations and providing helpful tips to navigate Rome. My very picky adult son claimed the bed was the best he had ever slept on outside of his own. Additionally, having morning breakfast provided was an added plus. We all loved having fresh lattes and cappuccinos each morning with breakfast. On several occasions, we had early morning excursions booked, and the staff graciously provided a bagged breakfast for us to take with us. The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance to all attractions as well as the metro station so we were able to walk just about everywhere. I would definitely recommend this small boutique hotel to anyone planning on visiting Rome. You will not be disappointed!!!

Wonderful hotel in a terrific location! Great customer service and an extremely friendly staff made the entire experience wonderful. Everyone there was helpful and engaging and made our first trip to Rome a memorable one. They helped us find the best sites to see and the best restaurants and places to grab a cappuccino. Highly recommended!

Hotel is right by Plaza Barberini and by a Metro Station. We mainly walked everywhere. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Room was beautiful and ok in size by European standards. Bathroom was large especially the tub/shower area. Staff was super friendly and kind. Lobby area is rather small but who wants to be sitting in a lobby while visiting Rome? The breakfast was the best. You did have to make reservations as it is a la carte and they want to make sure you are well taken care of. They start by fruit, cheeses, meats, and pastries. Then you order whatever hot meal your heart desires! Their breads of course were also delicious. We tried all different varieties of coffees and they were all so good. The main desk recommended a couple of restaurants nearby. One of them was good, one (Claudia) not so very good. It was a little overpriced and food was not the best. Our only complaint was that we signed up for loyalty program which would give you fresh fruit upon arrival, 50 percent off on your transfer from airport and 20 percent off on bar tab. We never got our fruit and we did tell the front desk about it. They made up the 50 percent off airport transfer by providing us 2 complimentary taxis to Termini station and they did not give us the 20 percent off on bar tab. It was only 2 glasses of wine so we did not worry about it. Overall, we would definitely stay here again. We love small boutique hotels and this one was a great one. We are Catholics and there was a church 2 blocks away where we could attend mass right away on the Sunday we got there.

My husband and I spent 2 nights here as our last leg before heading back home. The hotels location is very close to all of the shopping in central Rome. Literally 5 or so minutes as well to the famous Spanish Steps. The room itself was small - standard hotel room. The bathroom was my favorite as it has a deeper tub than the U.S. that made a hot bubble bath a very nice one. The walls are somewhat thin as we could hear people passing and talking. The breakfast was superb with great options! The front desk staff are very nice and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful room (stayed in the Light and Sound suite, which was spacious, but quiet). Staff was very helpful in arranging taxis, giving us guidance to navigate and accommodating requests. Breakfast was delicious. Location is terrific-a few minutes from Spanish Steps, Metro around the corner and easy to walk to the Centro Storico. Lovely small hotel and would definitely stay again.

Hotel staff very nice and helpful. Room clean but very small. Convenient location and breakfast excellent. Overall fine for 1-2 nights but we stayed 4 nights and the room is so small it became quite oppressive. There are bigger rooms so when booking make sure you book those but more cost obviously.

My husband and I stayed here from October 19-25. In a word SUPERB! From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. Everyone is so friendly and professional. I love the location, the room, the bar, the breakfast each day. We fast became friends with Diego Cocco, the bartender. He was warm, welcoming and funny. We enjoyed spending time with him and enjoying his cocktails and wine suggestions. We also really enjoyed the breakfast staff and the selections and especially the cappuccinos. So delicious. We were here with a tour group. They were so accommodating to all of us. The beds were so comfy. If we ever return to Rome we surely will visit again. If you are looking for a beautiful boutique hotel that is close to everything you must stay here. When you do introduce yourself to Diego. He'll make you feel like you are life long friends like he did with my husband and me.
